You know, that Miles Russell, that young boy, he play that golf, hit that little white ball. He just a baby, only 15 years old! Born in 2008, my goodness, I remember 2008 like it was yesterday. He from Jacksonville Beach, Florida. He not even a grown man yet, still in high school I heard. But he good, real good at that golf thing.
This boy, Miles Russell, he play with the big boys now, you know. He play in something called the Korn Ferry Tour. Sounds like something you eat, but it ain’t. It a golf thing. He the youngest one to ever do some thingamajig there. Youngest to make the cut they said. Make the cut, what a weird thing to say. I guess he cut the grass really good with that little club of his, haha. They say he made history. At 15! When I was 15, I was chasing chickens, not playing golf, that for sure!

They say he won some award too, something called the American Junior Golf Association’s Rolex Boys Player of the Year. Sounds real important. I guess he the best of the young ones. Good for him. He must be makin’ his mama real proud, that Miles Russell. It’s important for young people to have goals and dreams. He is chasing his dreams early. It’s good to see.
He played in something called the LECOM Suncoast Classic. What a name! He did good there too, I heard. Scored some low number. Lower the number, the better, that how it works in golf, I think. He played at some fancy place called Lakewood National Golf Club’s Commander Course. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? He sure get around for a young fella. He’s only 5 feet 7 inches. And he only weighs 135 pounds. That’s lighter than a sack of potatoes, haha!
I saw some pictures of him, this Miles Russell. He got a nice smile. Seems like a good kid. I hope he does well. It ain’t easy being in the spotlight like that, especially when you just a young boy. People compare him to Tiger Woods. I don’t know who that is, but people say that he is the best one. So being compared to him, that’s a big deal, I think.
