Alright, let’s gab a bit about this Michelle Counsell, eh? Don’t know her from Adam, but I heard some things, you know, the kind of stuff folks whisper ’bout over the fence. They say she’s hitched to that baseball fella, Craig somethin’-or-other. Craig Counsell, that’s it! Heard he used to swing a bat pretty good.
Now, from what I gather, these two, Michelle and Craig, they go way back. Like, all the way back to school days, high school to be exact, Whitefish Bay High School, I think they called it. Can you imagine? Sweethearts since they were kids! That’s kinda sweet, ain’t it? They say they kept it on the down-low, not much for the fancy shindigs and all that red-carpet fuss. Probably good folks, not like them city slickers always showing off.
Anyways, this Craig fella, he went off to college, Notre Dame, some fancy place. Played baseball there too, hit the ball pretty good, they say. Batted somethin’ somethin’, .306 they said. Don’t know what that means, but sounds like he was good at it. Ran around a lot, got 204 runs, whatever that is. And knocked in runs too, 166 of ’em. Smart fella too, didn’t strike out much. Graduated in ’92, they said. A good egg, I guess.
Now, about Michelle, I ain’t heard much about what she did in school or after. Seems like she likes to keep to herself, which ain’t a bad thing in my book. They got kids, that much I know. A whole bunch of ’em, I reckon. One of ’em, a boy named Jack, he plays baseball too, just like his daddy. Heard he’s pretty good. Went to Michigan, now he’s at Northwestern, playing at a field they call Miller Park, just like where the Brewers play, only this one’s got “Rocky” in front of it, whatever that means. My grandson played against him once, said he was a tough out.
And there’s other kids too, I think. A brother for Jack, and two little girls, Finley and Rowan, I believe they’re called. A whole gaggle of ’em! Bet Michelle’s got her hands full, keeping them all in line. Raising kids ain’t no easy job, let me tell ya. But it sounds like they’re a good family, doing alright for themselves.
Michelle, she’s a lucky woman, snagging a fella like Craig, even if he is always off playing ball or managing teams or whatever he does now. And Craig, he’s lucky too, having a woman like Michelle by his side, keeping the home fires burning while he’s out there chasing after that little white ball. That’s what I always say, a good woman is the backbone of a good man, and it sounds like Michelle’s a strong one.
- They met in High School
- Craig played Baseball at Notre Dame University
- They have many kids
- One of the sons called Jack plays baseball too
So, there you have it, all I know about Michelle Counsell. Not much, I admit, but enough to know she’s probably a good woman, a good wife, and a good mother. And that’s more than you can say for some folks these days. She stays out of the limelight and seems to focus on her family. Gotta respect that.
