Okay, so today I decided to mess around with “the tonga twins”. I’d heard about it, and it sounded… interesting. I had no clue what the result would look like until I had finished my practice.
What is the tonga twins?
It is just a pose that two people make.

Getting Started
First, I found a friend. It’s kinda crucial for this one, since, you know, it involves two people. We just chose a random spot. You should pick your own spot.
Figuring Out the Pose
Next, we kinda just… stared at the instruction of that pose. Neither of us had tried anything like this before.
- First step:Stand and face with your friend.
- Second step:One people bend and let the other one sit on the shoulder.
- Third step:Keep balance.
Giving it a Go (and Failing)
We tried. And tried. And tried again. My friend’s strength is not very well, so she bended very hard at first, but that’s good for me to sit on her shoulder.
Success!
Finally, after some advice from others and more times of attempts, we managed to hold the “tonga twins” pose for, like, a solid five seconds. It was pretty triumphant, even if it wasn’t the most graceful thing ever. We were both shaking like leaves by the end of it.
So, yeah, that was my experience. It was definitely a workout, a good laugh, and something totally out of the ordinary. Would I do it again? Maybe. With a little more practice, and possibly after a few stretches… or a very large glass of wine.
