Okay, so, today I wanted to mess around with something called “lores,” specifically how to get them working beyond their usual limits. It’s kinda niche, but I found it super interesting and wanted to share my little adventure.
Getting Started
First things first, I needed to actually, you know, have some lores. Now, I’m not gonna go into the whole process of making lores here. I just generated a couple of sample ones to play with. I grabbed a couple of different models, just to see if anything weird would happen if I mixed and matched.

Pushing the Limits
The whole point of this was to see if I could go beyond the typical range settings you usually see. Usually, you’re stuck with sliders that go from, like, -1 to 1, or maybe -2 to 2. I wanted to see what would happen if I cranked those numbers WAY up, or WAY down.
So, I started simple. I loaded up one of my lores, and instead of using the normal range, I typed in some crazy values. First, I tried 5. The results? Pretty wild! Things got really stylized, really fast. Like, way more than I expected. It was cool, but also kinda unusable in a practical sense.
Then, I went the other direction. I tried -5. This was even weirder. In some cases, it almost looked like the opposite of the lore’s intended effect. It was like looking at a photographic negative, but for styles instead of colors. Super trippy!
Experimenting Further
- Mixing and Matching: I tried combining multiple lores, each with extreme values. The results were unpredictable, to say the least. Sometimes they fought each other, creating a garbled mess. Other times, they combined in unexpected, and surprisingly cool ways.
- Different Models: As I mentioned earlier,I used lores made from different models. Turns out, this does matter. Some models were much more sensitive to the extreme values than others. One model might produce a subtle shift at a value of 3, while another would go completely bonkers.
My Takeaways
This whole thing was more about exploration than finding some secret, amazing * is definitely fun to experiment and see how these tools react when you push them to their limits.
It is obvious to me that I would not use these extreme value for the daily image generations. But knowing how the image will be affected is beneficial I think.

So, that’s my little experiment with lores beyond their intended ranges. Not exactly groundbreaking, but a fun way to spend an afternoon. Maybe you’ll give it a try and discover something cool!
