Alright, folks, let’s dive into my little adventure with making a tier list for Marvel Snap. I’m no pro, but I play a lot, and I figured, why not share my process?
First, I started by, well, playing the game. A ton. You can’t really rank cards if you haven’t seen them in action, right? So I spent a good few days just grinding matches, trying out different decks, and seeing what worked and what totally flopped.

Jotting Down Notes
As I played, I kept a simple notepad next to me. Every time a card seriously impressed me or made me groan in frustration, I’d jot down its name and a quick note. Stuff like, “Wong is OP with the right combo!” or “Ugh, why did I even put Cyclops in this deck?” You know, just casual, in-the-moment thoughts.
Categorizing is Key
After I built up some cards information,I started to organize my random notes. At first,I am making a general classification,S,A,B,C,D rank.
- S-Tier: These were the cards that felt consistently powerful, the ones that could turn the tide of a game or build a killer deck around.
- A-Tier: Really solid cards, maybe a bit more situational than S-tier, but still incredibly useful in the right circumstances.
- B-Tier: Your average, decent cards. They get the job done, but they’re not going to blow anyone’s mind.
- C-Tier: Cards that are a bit underpowered.
- D-Tier: Avoid it.
I realized that it is difficult to make a perfect list,I can just try my best to sort and orginize them,to make a tier list which can help other players.
Revise and Repeat
Of course, a tier list isn’t something you just whip up and call it a day. As I played more, and as new cards came out, I found myself constantly tweaking and revising my list. A card that seemed amazing at first might turn out to be easily countered, while a card I initially dismissed might become a hidden gem in the right deck.
It’s a messy, ongoing process, but that’s part of the fun! It’s like constantly experimenting and refining your strategy. And hey, even if my tier list isn’t perfect (and it definitely isn’t), it’s still a fun way to think about the game and share my experiences with other players.
