Okay, so today I wanted to get some freebies in Marvel Rivals, and I heard about these Twitch drops. Plus, I’m always looking for ways to boost my own Twitch channel, so I figured I’d kill two birds with one stone and try to hit that Affiliate status while I was at it.
Getting Those Marvel Rivals Codes
First things first, I needed those codes. I went over to Twitch and started looking for streams that had “Drops Enabled” in the title or tags. It took a little bit of browsing, found a few Marvel Rivals streams, and watched them for a while. Basically, you just gotta hang out in the chat, and watch the stream. Pay attention about time requirements.

After watching for the required amount of time, I got a notification on Twitch saying I earned a drop. I clicked on it, and boom – there was a code! The web said to put it into the game, and I get some cool in-game stuff. Sweet!
Working Towards Twitch Affiliate
So, while I was watching these streams, I was also thinking about my own channel. I’ve been streaming for a little bit, but I haven’t hit Affiliate yet. There are a few requirements you gotta meet:
- 50 Followers: I was close to this, hovering around 40-something.
- Stream for 8 hours: I checked my stats and realized I was actually pretty far off on this one.
- Stream on 7 different days: No problem there, I usually stream a little bit most days.
- Average of 3 viewers: This is the tricky one. I usually get a couple of people chatting, but consistently hitting 3 is tough.
My plan was to just keep streaming consistently, and while I was watching these Marvel Rivals streams, I did my best to participate and have fun. Hopefully get people interested.
I also made sure to raid another streamer at the end of my session to get some views.
The Results (So Far!)
I’ve grabbed a couple of Marvel Rivals codes, so that’s a win. Got to keep watching those, get some more rewards.
As for my Twitch Affiliate journey, it’s still a work in progress. I did gain a few followers today, which is awesome. I still need to put in some more hours of streaming, and really work on getting that average viewer count up. But I’m feeling motivated! I figure, hey, if I’m gonna be playing games anyway, might as well stream it and see what happens, right? It’s all about having fun and building a little community. I try to make it happen!
