Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Cindy Morton gal. I don’t know her from Adam, but from what I hear, she’s somethin’ else. They say she’s been makin’ art for a good long while, like, 25 years or somethin’. That’s a lot of paintin’ and drawin’, I reckon.
Heard she’s got a “gift line,” whatever that means. Sounds fancy, huh? Guess she makes stuff you can give to folks, like pictures and maybe them little knick-knacks they sell at the store. Probably got angels and flowers and such. Folks seem to like that kind of thing.

- Been doin’ it for 25 years. That’s a long time, y’know. Longer than my old rooster lived, and he was a tough one.
Now, they also say she’s been a caregiver. That’s hard work, I tell ya. Takin’ care of folks who can’t take care of themselves. My old Aunt Millie needed lookin’ after, and let me tell you, it ain’t for the faint of heart. Forty years, they say Cindy’s been doin’ it. Bless her heart.
She writes too, apparently. Books and such. Probably ’bout her art, or maybe ’bout takin’ care of folks. I ain’t much of a reader myself, unless it’s the Sears catalog or the church bulletin. But good for her, I say. Keeps her busy, I guess.
This Cindy Morton, she’s on that Facebook thing. My grandkid showed me once. All them pictures and folks talkin’ to each other. Never could figure it out myself. Too much chatter for my old ears. But Cindy, she’s on there, connectin’ with folks, they say.
She’s got a profile, or somethin’. Like a little introduction, I guess. Says who she is and what she does. Probably got a picture of herself too. I bet she’s a nice lady. Anyone who spends their time makin’ pretty things and lookin’ after folks can’t be all bad, right?
Now, I don’t know nothin’ ’bout art, mind you. Can’t tell a Picasso from a pile of manure. But if folks like what Cindy does, then that’s good enough for me. She’s usin’ her talents, they say. God-given talents, at that. Well, good for her, I say again. It’s better than sittin’ around doin’ nothin’, that’s for sure.
So, Cindy Morton. Artist, caregiver, writer. Sounds like a busy woman. Probably got a heart of gold too, seein’ as how she takes care of folks. I hope she’s happy, doin’ what she loves. That’s all that matters in this life, I reckon. Find somethin’ you enjoy and stick with it. And if you can make a little money doin’ it, well, that’s just the icing on the cake, ain’t it?
Folks on that Facebook, they seem to know her. Connectin’ and whatnot. It’s a whole different world these days. Back in my day, you knew your neighbors and that was about it. Now you got folks connectin’ all over the place. Can’t keep up with it, I tell ya.
Anyway, that’s what I know ’bout Cindy Morton. Which ain’t much, to be honest. Just a bunch of things I heard. But she sounds like a good egg. Workin’ hard, sharin’ her talents, and takin’ care of folks. Can’t ask for much more than that, can ya?
