Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Leon in Brawl Stars, trying to find a build that really clicks. I’ve gone through a bunch of Star Powers and Gadgets, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. Here’s what I’ve dug up so far:
My Initial Mess-Arounds
First, I just jumped into some matches with random setups. I mean, that’s how you learn, right? Throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks. I played a few Gem Grab matches, tried some Brawl Ball, the usual. I quickly realized that Leon’s effectiveness can really change depending on what you equip him with.

Diving Deeper – Gadget Trials
I started experimenting with the Gadgets. The “Clone Projector” seemed cool at first – creating a decoy to confuse enemies. But honestly, most players at my level saw right through it. It felt kinda useless, eating up a gadget slot for something that rarely worked. Then I tried “Lollipop Drop”. Man, this thing is sneaky. Placing it in a bush and watching enemies stumble into my invisible area… chef’s kiss pure gold. I started racking up some surprise kills, especially in bushy maps.
Star Power Showdown
Next up, the Star Powers. “Invisiheal” sounds awesome on paper – recovering health while invisible? Yes, please! But in practice, I found myself getting burst down too quickly for it to make a huge difference. I needed something that helped me before I got into trouble, not while I was already running away.
So I switched to “Smoke Trails”. This is where things started to get interesting. That extra speed boost while invisible? HUGE. I could close the gap on enemies way faster, dodge shots more easily, and generally be a much bigger pain in the butt. It made a real difference in my ability to get in, do damage, and get out.
Putting it All Together – My Preferred Build (for Now!)
After all that messing around, here’s the build I’m currently rocking:
- Gadget: Lollipop Drop
- Star Power: Smoke Trails
- I use Hypercharge when I can.
- The gear I use is Shield and Damage.
This combo gives me the sneakiness of “Lollipop Drop” with the aggressive mobility of “Smoke Trails.” I can scout, ambush, and escape much more effectively.
I’ve been using this setup in a variety of modes, and it’s been working pretty well. The speed boost is great for grabbing gems in Gem Grab, and the invisibility zone is perfect for controlling chokepoints. The damage gear helps to kill more quickly. And the shield gear is to keep blood longer.

Still Learning
Of course, I’m still tweaking things. Maybe I’ll find a better combo down the line, or maybe a new map will make me rethink my strategy. But for now, this “Smoke Trails” and “Lollipop Drop” build is my go-to for Leon. It’s all about that sneaky speed, baby!
If you’ve got your own killer Leon build, let me know! I’m always up for trying new things. Brawl on!
