Alright, so I’ve been diving deep into Like a Dragon: Ishin! lately, and let me tell you, this Virtue thing? It’s a whole system, man. I wanted to maximize my character, get all those sweet upgrades, so I started looking into how to really rack up that Virtue.
My Virtue Grind
First, I just started playing, you know? Doing side quests, helping people out, the usual good-guy stuff. That gives you some Virtue, but it felt slow. I was like, “There’s gotta be a better way!”

So I hit the forums, watched some videos, and started experimenting. Here’s what I figured out:
- The Shrine is Your Friend: Seriously, I started praying at every shrine I saw. It’s a small amount of Virtue, but it adds up. Plus, there are those little tasks the shrine priest gives you, like catching a certain number of fish or whatever. Do those! Easy Virtue.
- Diligent Diligence: I figured the Diligence Records is where it will all happen, and I was right! Completing these task gave me some serious virtue.
- Eat and Be Merry: I noticed that ordering food at restaurants gives you Virtue, too. So, I started trying every dish, becoming a regular at all the local spots. My character got pretty well-fed, and my Virtue went up!
- Help the Helpless: Those substories where you help people around town? Don’t skip them! They’re not just for story; they give you a decent chunk of Virtue. Plus, you feel good about helping, right?
- Farming: I began farming, just planting and harvesting vegetables.
I spent a good few hours just focusing on this stuff. Running around, praying, eating, helping folks. It felt like a grind at times, but then I checked my Virtue and saw it was way higher than before. I was unlocking abilities left and right!
My biggest takeaway? Consistency. It’s not about finding one big secret; it’s about doing all these little things regularly. Keep at it, and you’ll be swimming in Virtue!
