Okay, so today I tried to get that “lento helix” effect in Wuthering Waves. You know, the one that looks like a swirling, slow-motion vortex? Yeah, that one. I spent, no joke, like three hours on this.
First, I jumped straight into the game. I figured the best way to learn was to just mess around. I started by trying different characters, thinking maybe it was a specific skill. Nope. Nothing.

Experimenting with Attacks
Then, I focused on attack patterns. I tried normal attacks, heavy attacks, combinations… you name it. I was mashing buttons like a madman. Still, I get all normal skills.
- Normal attack spam – Fail.
- Heavy attack spam – Mega Fail.
- Mixing it up – Epic Fail.
Adjust the configuration
I thought, “Okay, maybe it’s a timing thing?” So I started to try to see what the game’s setting. To change the setting, I opened the configuration panel.
I found a “slow-motion” setting! Thought I had it. I turned it on, jumped back in the game, and… it just made everything slow. Like the whole game was underwater. Hilarious, but not what I wanted.
More Failures
I went back to experimenting. More attacks. I was starting to lose hope. I even started to consider maybe it was a graphic glitch, I thought I got the wrong direction.
- Trying to jump and attack – Nope.
- Dodge and attack – Still nope.
- Use ultimate skill- Absolutely not.
Finally, I decided to just search it up. Turns out, it’s not a special move at all! It’s just a visual effect that happens sometimes when you’re fighting. Like, completely random. All that time… for something I couldn’t even control!

So, yeah, that was my day. Trying to figure out a “lento helix” that wasn’t even a thing I could do. Oh well. At least I got some good practice in, right? …Right?
