Okay, so I was messing around online today, trying to find something interesting, and I stumbled upon this thing about Jon Jones and his brothers. You know, the fighter, Jon Jones? Turns out, his brothers are pretty big deals too. I mean, seriously, these guys are like, everywhere in the sports world!
I started digging into it, just clicking around, you know how it goes. First thing I found was that Jon always talks about how much his brothers influenced him. Like, it’s a big part of his story. The oldest is Arthur, then there’s Jon in the middle, and Chandler’s the youngest. Apparently, they were always wrestling growing up, beating each other up and all that. It is said that they were born and raised in Rochester, New York, to parents Arthur Jr. and Camille Jones.
Then, I found out that all three of these guys are like, super successful athletes. It’s crazy! Jon’s obviously a huge name in UFC, but his brothers? They’re both NFL stars. I mean, they’ve both won the Super Bowl! Can you imagine that? Three brothers, all at the top of their game in different sports. It’s like something out of a movie, seriously.
- Arthur Jones: The oldest, a Super Bowl champ in the NFL.
- Jon Jones: Middle child, the UFC legend.
- Chandler Jones: The youngest, also a Super Bowl winner in the NFL.
And get this, I was watching some clips, and there was this press conference for UFC 309. Jon was supposed to fight this guy, Stipe Miocic, and they had this staredown, right? Super intense. But then, Jon just refused to shake Stipe’s hand! I was like, “Whoa, what’s going on?” Turns out, he told Stipe, “Don’t ever mention my kids again.” I guess Stipe had said something about Jon’s kids, and Jon was not having it. Family’s a big deal, I guess.
There are also someone said that Jon has only lost once, man, this family is just insane when it comes to sports. I just thought it was a cool little rabbit hole to go down. It is so interesting to see how these three brothers all made it big, you know? And it all started with them just wrestling around as kids. Crazy stuff, man, crazy stuff.
Their Parents
Their parents must be so proud, huh? I mean, imagine having three sons who are all champions. That’s some serious bragging rights. Arthur Jr. and Camille Jones, they created some real winners.
Anyway, I spent way too much time on this today, but it was worth it. I learned a lot, and it was just a fun little distraction. I thought I’d share it here because, why not? Maybe someone else will find it interesting too. It’s just a reminder that sometimes, the most interesting stories are the ones you stumble upon by accident.
