Today, I really wanted to see what John Cena would look like with a full head of hair. I mean, the guy’s a legend, but let’s be honest, his hairline has been on a bit of a journey, you know?
So, I started by grabbing a bunch of photos of John Cena online. I made sure to get different angles and different times in his career, just to have a good variety to work with.
Getting the Hair Right
Next, I thought, “What kind of hairstyle would even suit a guy like Cena?” I decided to try out a classic, Elvis-style pompadour, I thought it could be a fun and interesting look. This part was a bit tricky, not gonna lie. I had to find pictures of guys with similar hair types – you know, thick, a bit wavy, maybe 2B or 2C hair type.
- Backcomb the hair: I started practicing the Elvis style by taking some hair and backcombing at the roots, working from the sides towards the top.
- Comb over: Then, I combed the hair up and over the backcombed parts, trying to get that classic pompadour shape.
- Adjust and style: I spent some time playing around with it, making sure it looked somewhat natural and fit the overall image.
Combining the Images
This is where things got interesting. I’m not a professional photo editor, but I know the basics. I used this simple trick where you basically merge two photos together. I picked a photo of Cena and a photo of a guy with the pompadour hair I liked.
I carefully selected the hair from the second photo and tried my best to place it on Cena’s head in the first photo. It was a lot of trial and error, resizing, rotating, and trying to match the lighting and shadows.
Final Touches
After I finally got the hair in a decent spot, I did a few more tweaks. I played with the colors a bit to make the hair blend in better with Cena’s skin tone and the overall lighting of the original photo. I even tried adding a bit of a shine to the hair, to give it that healthy, conditioned look.
It took a while, but in the end, I had a picture of John Cena with a full head of Elvis-style hair. It wasn’t perfect, but it was pretty darn good for an amateur like me. It was a fun little project, and it definitely gave me a new appreciation for how much hair can change a person’s look. Plus, it was cool to see Cena in a totally different style!
