Okay, so the other day I was watching WWE Raw, you know, the usual Monday night entertainment. And man, things got pretty wild during the tag team match. JD McDonagh, that Irish wrestler, he was going all out, trying to get the WWE World Tag Team Championship back with his partner, Dominic.
I watched McDonagh and he was really giving it his all. But then, there was this one moment, it was pretty scary. He took this crazy bump, and it looked like he got hurt really bad. His head just snapped back, and everyone around the ring, even us fans watching at home, got super worried.
After the show, I hopped onto X, you know, the app that used to be called Twitter, and saw that McDonagh himself posted something. Turns out, he really did get messed up. He said he’s gonna be out for a couple of months. Can you believe it? He said he got some broken ribs and a punctured lung. Man, that sounds so painful. Just imagine not being able to breathe properly because of a punctured lung, and those broken ribs, ouch! Every move, every breath must hurt like hell. I thought i was hurt bad enough when i had a simple cold, that was just a simple infection but not even a fraction of what McDonagh is going through.
So, I started digging around a bit more ’cause I was curious about how bad his injuries really were. Found out that this happened on the January 27th episode. I mean, he had to go through all that for the title, and he still couldn’t get it. So many places were talking about it – The Independent, some other news sites, they all had the story.
- He got hurt real bad: Broken ribs and a punctured lung, those are serious.

What I learned
Honestly, it’s kind of a bummer. I feel for the guy. He’s such a good wrestler, and now he’s gotta sit out because of these injuries. It’s a tough break, but it’s also a reminder of how risky this sport is. They put their bodies on the line every time they step into the ring. Hopefully, he recovers well and gets back in the ring soon. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for his return. Wrestling’s just not the same without him.
