Okay, so I saw a lot of chatter online about how Kuki Shinobu works with Furina, and honestly, I was kinda skeptical. I mean, Shinobu’s always been a decent healer, but top-tier? I wasn’t buying it. But, hey, I’m always up for experimenting, so I decided to give it a shot myself and see what all the fuss was about.
Building the Teams
First things first, I needed to get my teams set up. I already had a pretty decked-out Furina, so that was easy. My Shinobu, though? She was gathering dust at level 70 with some random artifacts. Time for a makeover!

I spent a good chunk of time farming the Golden Troupe domain for Furina a while back, so I already had some good * Kuki, I went with a full 4-piece set of “Flower of Paradise Lost” since I am running her in hyperbloom team, focusing on EM/EM/EM, My weapon of choice for Kuki is “Xiphos’ Moonlight”. Then, slapped them on Shinobu and got her leveled up to 90, talents to as high.
My main testing team consisted of:
- Furina (sub-DPS, buffer)
- Kuki Shinobu (healer, Electro applicator)
- Nahida (Dendro applicator, buffer)
- Yelan(Hydro applicator, sub-DPS)
The Actual Testing
Alright, time for the fun part – throwing them into the Spiral Abyss! and some overworld bosses.
I have tried serval team comps, then I found that hyperbloom team is extreamly * few runs? Clunky. I wasn’t used to the rotation, and my Shinobu was still getting used to her new gear. My damage output via hyperbloom was insane. I was struggling to keep everyone alive, especially since Furina’s skill drains HP like crazy.
Furina’s buff is based on the change of team’s HP,so if team’s HP keeps increasing or decresing, the damage increase will be significant.

But, after a few tweaks and getting the hang of the timing, things started to click. Here’s what I figured out:
- Rotation is key: I started with Furina’s skill and burst, then Nahida’s skill, then Kuki’s skill, and make Yelan to trigger the hyperbloom. This seemed to maximize uptime on buffs and healing.
- Keep an eye on HP: Seriously, Furina’s skill is no joke. I had to make sure Shinobu’s healing ring was active almost constantly, especially during bursts.
- Stack that EM: Elemental Mastery is everything for Shinobu in this comp. The higher her EM, the more damage her hyperblooms, and the stronger her heals. It’s a win-win!
The Verdict
So, after all that experimenting, is Kuki Shinobu actually good with Furina? Surprisingly, yeah! It’s not a brain-dead easy combo, and it definitely takes some practice, but the payoff is there, Shinobu’s consistent healing, combined with the electro application, opens up a ton of team comp, especially hyperbloom team.
Would I say it’s the best team ever? Nah. There are other strong options out there. But is it fun, powerful, and worth trying? Absolutely! If you’ve got a benched Shinobu and a built Furina, give it a shot. You might be surprised!
