Okay, so yesterday I messed around with Collegues, that AI thing for making, you know, those kinds of videos. I got it kinda working, but it was super basic. Today, I wanted to push it further and see what else I could do.
Diving Back In
First thing I did was fire up the program again. Remember, it’s all command-line stuff, no fancy interface. I wanted to try generating a longer video this time, and maybe with a slightly different, uh, “style.”

I spent some time tweaking the prompt file. This is where you tell the AI what you want. It’s all text, describing the scene, the characters, everything. It’s a bit like writing a really, really detailed script, but with more emphasis on the visuals and, well, you get the idea.
The Waiting Game… Again
Once I had my prompt set up, I ran the command again. And then… I waited. This thing takes forever to generate anything. Seriously, you could go make a sandwich, watch a movie, maybe even start a new hobby while it’s churning away. It’s all that processing power, I guess.
I did use my computer to do something else, while it was running.
Results! (Sort Of)
Eventually, it finished! I eagerly checked the output folder, and… it was better! The video was longer, and the “style” was closer to what I was aiming for. Still not perfect, though. There were some weird glitches, like body parts not quite connecting right, and the movements were still a bit jerky. It’s definitely got that “uncanny valley” vibe going on.
Tweaks and More Tweaks
So, I went back to the prompt file. I made some more adjustments, trying to describe things in a slightly different way, hoping to fix those glitches. It’s a lot of trial and error, honestly. You change something, run it again, wait for hours, and then see if it’s any better.
I am running it a few times now, change the prompt, make it better.

Final Thoughts (For Now)
I’m definitely getting the hang of this, but it’s still a work in progress. Collegues is powerful, but it’s also kind of clunky and super slow. It’s like having a really talented artist who only works in slow motion and sometimes forgets how many fingers people have. I’ll keep messing with it, though. There’s a lot of potential here, even if it’s a bit, um, rough around the edges.
