Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get Coco in Animal Crossing, like, forever. She’s just so unique and mysterious, you know? That blank stare, the gyroid look… I was determined to have her on my island. I spent so many Nook Miles Tickets, it was ridiculous.
My Coco Hunt Begins
First, I cleared out a nice spot on my island. Gotta make sure Coco has a good home, right? I envisioned a little zen garden area for her, maybe with some bamboo and those cool stone lanterns. Prepping the location felt like it would somehow magically attract her – wishful thinking, I know!

Then came the real grind: island hopping. I stocked up on Nook Miles Tickets – and I mean, stocked up. I talked to Orville, told him I wanted to use my ticket, and off I went, crossing my fingers every single time.
The Island Grind
- Island 1: Nope. Just a jock horse. Next!
- Island 2: A snooty cat. Cute, but not Coco.
- Island 3: Another jock! What are the odds?
- Island 4-10: It was a blur of disappointment. So many normal villagers, a few peppy ones, and even a cranky old wolf. Still no Coco.
I started to lose hope. My Nook Miles were dwindling, and my thumbs were getting sore from pressing ‘A’ so much. I even started talking to the villagers I didn’t want, just in case the game was playing some kind of reverse psychology trick on me.
A Glimmer of Hope?
Then on the 15th ticket or was it the 16th. I landed on an island with Coco! I saw that empty, soulful gaze, and my heart skipped a beat. I found her near some orange trees.
I ran up to her, mashed the ‘A’ button through her dialogue, and basically begged her to move to my island. I think I selected all the “please move, please move!” options like three times each. Gotta make sure she gets the message, right?
Coco Is Finally Home!
And guess what? She agreed! I did a little victory dance in my living room. The next day, there she was, unpacking her boxes in that zen garden spot I’d made. It felt so good to finally have her!
So yeah, that’s how I got Coco in Animal Crossing. It took a ton of time, a mountain of Nook Miles Tickets, and a whole lot of patience, but it was totally worth it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go give Coco a housewarming gift. Maybe a nice gyroid…
