So, I got pretty hyped about the new Dragon Ball game, Sparking! Zero. Like, really hyped. The trailers looked amazing, bringing back all those Budokai Tenkaichi memories. The first thing that popped into my head was, “Is this gonna be on Game Pass?” Because, you know, that would be awesome.
My Little Search Mission
Alright, so here’s what I did. First off, I grabbed my controller and turned on my Xbox. Straight into the Game Pass app I went. Typed in “Sparking Zero” into the search bar. Waited a second. Nothing. Okay, sometimes upcoming stuff doesn’t show super early, so no biggie yet.

Next step, I pulled out my phone. Opened up my browser and started searching. I tried a few things:
- “Sparking Zero Game Pass”
- “Is Dragon Ball Sparking Zero coming to Game Pass”
- “Xbox Game Pass Sparking Zero announcement”
- “Bandai Namco Sparking Zero Game Pass”
I scrolled through a bunch of articles. Lots of news about the game itself – characters, gameplay features, release date stuff. Saw plenty of excitement, which was cool. But every article I clicked on that mentioned Game Pass basically said the same thing: no confirmation. Most just speculated or said it wasn’t announced for the service.
I figured maybe I missed an official post. So, I went over to the main Xbox news site, the one they call Xbox Wire. Read through recent posts. Nope, nothing about Sparking Zero joining the lineup. Then I checked Bandai Namco’s official channels, their website, their Twitter feed. Again, tons of promotion for the game, pre-order links, but zero mention of Game Pass.
Where Things Stand Now
After all that digging around, poking through articles, checking official sources, and even glancing at some forum discussions where other people were asking the exact same thing, the answer seems pretty clear right now. It doesn’t look like Sparking! Zero is planned for Game Pass at launch.
Honestly, it’s a bit of a letdown. Game Pass is great for trying out big new games without dropping seventy bucks right away. I was really hoping this one would show up there day one. But hey, it is what it is. Doesn’t mean it won’t ever come to Game Pass, maybe way down the line, but for the release? Looks like it’s a full purchase if you want to play it when it comes out. So, that’s what I found out doing my rounds today.
