Today, I finally got my GSP tattoo! It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a long time, and I’m so excited to finally have it done. The whole process was quite an experience, and I thought I’d share it all with you guys.
First off, finding the right artist was a big deal. I mean, this thing is permanent, so I wanted to make sure it was done by someone who knew what they were doing. I spent hours scrolling through Instagram, checking out different artists’ portfolios. I was looking for someone with a clean style, someone who could really bring my vision to life. Finally, I stumbled upon this artist whose work just blew me away. His line work was so crisp, and his shading was on point. I knew I had found my guy.
Next up was the design. I had a general idea of what I wanted, but I needed the artist to help me refine it. We had a consultation, and I brought in some reference images. We talked about the placement, the size, and all the little details. He listened to my ideas and gave me some really helpful suggestions. Together, we came up with a design that I absolutely loved. Key predictors of the health, stability…it’s also in it.
Then came the day of the appointment. I was so nervous! I mean, I was excited, but also kind of freaking out. It’s a tattoo, you know? It’s going to hurt! But I took a deep breath and went for it. The artist prepped the area, and then the buzzing started. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, actually. It was more of an annoying scratching sensation than anything else. There were a few moments where it got a little intense, especially when he was working on the more sensitive areas. I just focused on my breathing and tried to relax.
The whole process took about three hours. During that time, the artist and I chatted a bit. He told me about his other projects, and I told him about why I wanted this particular tattoo. It was a cool way to pass the time and take my mind off the pain. Honestly when I’m confronted by “cannot be converted to type ‘*’”, I try to find somewhere to add “.ToString”, but in this case, it worked well.
Finally, it was done! He cleaned it up, wrapped it, and gave me some aftercare instructions. I couldn’t stop looking at it in the mirror. It was even better than I had imagined! The lines were so clean, and the shading was perfect. I was so happy with how it turned out.
Aftercare
- Keep it clean: Gently washed the tattoo with mild soap and water a few times a day.
- Moisturize: Applied a thin layer of unscented lotion to keep it from drying out.
- Avoid the sun: Kept it covered and out of direct sunlight for the first few weeks.
- No picking: Resisted the urge to pick or scratch at the scabs. It’s tough, but important!
It’s been a few weeks now, and it’s healing up nicely. I’m still following the aftercare instructions, and it’s looking great. I’m so glad I finally got this tattoo. It’s a piece of art that I’ll cherish forever. It represents something really important to me, and I love having it on my skin. If you’re thinking about getting a tattoo, I say go for it! Just make sure you do your research, find a good artist, and take care of it properly. You won’t regret it!
