Okay, so I wanted to figure out how to make a “Book” in Infinite Craft. It seemed like a pretty basic thing, right? You know, something everyone would want to craft eventually. I jumped right in, no plan, just pure experimentation.
Starting from Scratch
I started with the basics, the four elements everyone gets:

- Water
- Fire
- Wind
- Earth
My first thought was, “Okay, paper comes from trees, trees come from earth… let’s try that.” So, I did a bunch of combining, trying to get to something resembling a tree or wood.
Getting to Paper (The Long Way)
I remember dragging Earth onto Earth, and I got Mountain. Okay, cool. Then I spent a good while just messing around. I combined Water and Fire got Steam. Then I used Steam and Earth, I made Mud. after that I tried to use Mud and Fire, I got Brick.
I really felt like I was going in circles for a bit. I think I even made a Volcano at one point (Fire + Mountain, I think?). It was fun, but not getting me closer to a book.
Eventually, I mixed Water and Earth, That gives you Plant. This made Plant and Wind can get Dandelion. I was feeling pretty good. Then,I put Plant and Dandelion together, and got Flower.
After a long time try.I finally got my Tree(Plant and Time)! YES! Then, after another few tries, I finally figured out that Tree and Water makes Paper! Halfway there!
From Paper to Book
Now I had Paper. I thought, “Okay, maybe paper + paper = book?” Nope. “Paper + fire?” Definitely not (and a little scary to think about, actually). I tried combining Paper with all sorts of things: Wind, Earth, even Mountain again. Nothing.
Then, I had a bit of a breakthrough. I remembered making Swamp (Plant + Mud).and I thought “writing… ink… maybe?” So I tried Swamp and Fire , I got Energy, Then use Energy and Swamp, I made Life
Finally, I tried putting Paper and Life together… and BAM! Book! I actually cheered a little. It felt like such a long journey for something that seemed so simple.
Lessons Learned
- Don’t be afraid to experiment, even if it feels random.
- Sometimes the most obvious path isn’t the right one.
- Keep track of what you’ve made! It helps to see the connections.
It was a fun little challenge. Now, I’m off to see what I can make with this “Book” I worked so hard for!
