Okay, so I’ve been hyped for Firefly in Honkai: Star Rail, and I finally got around to gathering all her ascension materials. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey, so I figured I’d share my experience and what I did, just in case anyone else is struggling.
Getting Started: The Basics
>

First things first, I needed to figure out exactly what I needed. I looked it up and, I know, it sounds obvious, but you need to know to hunt. I found some guides, and it boiled down to these:
- Raging Heart: These were from Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Ire.
- Tatters/Thoughts/Impressions of Destiny: These were from the Memory Zone Meme family enemies.
- Ascension Materials: I knew I needed some new stuff, so I searched it up.
The Grind Begins
I started with the Memory Zone Meme enemies. I just warped to areas where I knew I can find them in the Simulated Universe. It was pretty straightforward – just beat them up, grab the loot, and move on. Did this a bunch of times until I had enough of each type.
Next up was the Stagnant Shadow. Man, this one was a bit tougher. This enemy, I found it at Fyxestroll Garden. I had to really power up my team. It took a few tries, some strategizing, and, I’ll admit, a bit of luck, but I eventually got all the Raging Hearts I needed.
The new materials, that’s were I had a bit of a challenge finding out were to hunt them, but finally I managed to find a good source of information, and started hunting the necessary materials.
Wrapping Up
Finally, after all that, I had everything! It felt good to finally have all the materials in my inventory. I went to the character screen, clicked on Firefly, and started leveling her up. Seeing those stats go up was super satisfying.
Honestly, the whole process took a few days of on-and-off playing. It wasn’t something I could just knock out in an hour. But it was worth it. Now I’ve got Firefly ready to go, and I’m excited to see how she performs in my team. My biggest tip? Be patient, and don’t be afraid to experiment with different team setups to tackle those tougher challenges. Good luck with your own Firefly grind!
