Okay, folks, let’s talk about my experience with the OWCS Major in Dallas. I’m not a pro player or anything, just a regular guy who loves Overwatch and wanted to check out the big event.
First things first, I booked my trip. I mean, you gotta get there, right? I looked for flights and a hotel, and let me tell you, prices were a little crazy because of the event. But hey, I was committed!

Once I got to Dallas, the energy was insane. You could feel the excitement just walking around. So many people in Overwatch jerseys, cosplayers, everyone was hyped.
Getting to the Venue
The event was held at a pretty big convention center. It. Was. Packed. I made my way through the crowds, trying to find the right entrance. Thankfully, there were signs everywhere, so even a dummy like me could figure it out.
- Finding my seat: I had a general admission ticket, so it was first-come, first-served. I managed to snag a decent spot with a pretty good view of the stage.
- Checking out the merch: Oh boy, the merch booths. So much cool stuff! I resisted the urge to buy everything, and grabbed a t-shirt and a couple of pins.
- Watching the games: Okay, the main event! The matches were intense. The crowd was roaring, the casters were going wild, and the players were pulling off some crazy moves. It’s a whole different experience seeing it live compared to watching online.
The Overall Vibe
Honestly, the best part was just being around other Overwatch fans. Everyone was so friendly, and it was easy to strike up conversations. I met some cool people and we talked about our favorite heroes, strategies, and all that good stuff.
I didn’t stay for the entire event, I headed out after a couple of days. My feet were killing me, but it was totally worth it. I even learned a thing or two about how the pros, play from watching matches that closely.
So yeah, that was my OWCS Dallas Major experience. It was a blast, and I’d definitely recommend it to any Overwatch fan, if you ever get the chance.
