Okay, so, today I messed around with this thing called “2.4 drip marketing HSR,” yeah, that’s what they called it. Sounds kinda fancy, right? But it’s not as complicated as it sounds.
First off, I got wind of this whole “drip marketing” thing for some game, “Honkai Star Rail,” or HSR for short, version 2.4. Apparently, they’re gonna start leaking info about it soon. The buzz was that these game developers, HoYoverse, they’re gonna drop some news about new characters or something.
So, I dug around a bit. Seems like they did this before, for version 2.3, leaking info bit by bit to get people hyped up. I found some old posts talking about it. There’s this one from some guy, Naruzeldamaster, from a year ago. He was hoping to get some characters, Fu Xuan and Topaz, by saving up in the game. Smart move, I guess.
I also stumbled upon some chatter about how this “drip marketing” is gonna start for version 2.4. People online are all excited, guessing what’s gonna be revealed. Some even mentioned a meme, something about “L + Ratio.” I looked it up, and it’s some Twitter thing, used when people see dumb tweets. I don’t use Twitter much, so it’s news to me.
Then I spotted this thing about a character named “Hanya”. They are a 4-star, physical, Harmony character, using dreams to analyze sins. Sounds kinda deep. It says “it doesn’t hurt as…” and then it cuts off. Intriguing, right?

- Then I checked what characters they might be revealing.
- I read through some community reactions and excitement.
- Finally, I tried to make sense of it all and see what the hype was about.
I also read about this other character, Jiaoqiu. Apparently, his description is “interesting,” to say the least. That’s all I could find about him for now.
So, yeah, that’s pretty much what I did today with this 2.4 drip marketing HSR thing. I learned that it is a way to build hype for a game by slowly releasing information. It seems to work, ’cause people are definitely talking about it. I managed to gather some info about upcoming characters and got a sense of the community’s excitement. It’s kinda cool how they do this, getting everyone all riled up over a game update.
I will try to keep my eyes on that to see what new characters will be announced by the game.
