Alright, so, I wanted to figure out this whole iron smelting thing in V Rising. I heard a lot about it and how important it was, so I was really itching to get into it.
First, I had to find out how to even get started. Some folks online were saying you need to beat this boss called Quincey the Bandit King. Sounded tough, but I was up for the challenge. This guy, Quincey, hangs out at the Bandit Stronghold, and I heard you gotta be at least level 37 to have a shot against him. Okay, I thought, I gotta level up.

Grinding to Level 37
I spent a good chunk of time just grinding, fighting enemies, doing quests, whatever I could to get stronger. It was a bit of a slog, but I knew I had to get to 37 to have a chance against Quincey. It took me longer than I wanted, but finally, I reached level 37. I felt pretty good, geared up, and ready to go.
Facing Quincey
Then came the time to face Quincey. I found the Bandit Stronghold and, man, it looked intimidating. I’ve heard that the gate might be closed, and you might need some bear form or explosives, so I made sure to gather everything before I headed out. The fight was intense, I won’t lie. Quincey was tough, but I used everything I had learned, and in the end, I defeated him. It was a huge relief, let me tell you.
Unlocking Iron Smelting
After beating Quincey, the game finally unlocked the ability to smelt iron. It felt great to finally reach this point. I was stoked because this was a big deal for crafting better gear and progressing further in the game.
Finding Iron Ore
But that’s not the end of it. I needed to find iron ore to actually smelt. The best place, I found out, is the Haunted Iron Mine in the Dunley Farmlands. It’s pretty much in the middle of the map, so it wasn’t too hard to find. I went there, and it was loaded with iron ore. I mined a bunch and hauled it back to my base.
- Reach Level 37
- Defeat Quincey the Bandit King
- Go to Haunted Iron Mine
- Mine Iron Ore
- Smelt Iron
Finally, I was able to start smelting iron. Seeing those iron ingots being made was satisfying. I could now craft better weapons and armor, which made a huge difference. The whole process was a journey, but it was totally worth it. Now, I’m much stronger in the game, and it all started with figuring out how to unlock that darn iron smelting.
So, that’s my story on how I got into iron smelting in V Rising. Hope this helps anyone who’s trying to do the same. It’s a grind, but trust me, it pays off!
