Alright, the new Spiral Abyss for 4.8 dropped. Time to dive in again, see what fresh hell they cooked up this time. Didn’t really look up strats beforehand, kinda like going in blind, makes it more fun, right?
Getting Ready
First thing I did was just glance at the monster lineup for floor 11 and 12. Looked like the usual mix, some annoying shields, some heavy hitters. Didn’t see anything totally outrageous at first glance, which was nice. Checked the Ley Line disorders too. Nothing too crazy that forced a specific element, felt pretty open this time around.

Didn’t really change my main teams much. Just stuck with what I usually run because, honestly, farming artifacts is pain and my current setups are mostly okay. Maybe tweaked a weapon here or there, made sure everyone’s bursts were ready to go.
Tackling Floor 11
Floor 11 was mostly smooth sailing. The first half, I threw in my go-to crowd control team. Sucked everything together, blasted them down. Pretty standard stuff. Had a bit of trouble with those specters floating around on one chamber, always annoying chasing them down. Second half needed some single-target punch, so I brought out my boss killer team. Dealt with the bigger guys pretty quick. Didn’t need any retries on 11, just cleared it straight through.
The Real Deal: Floor 12
Okay, Floor 12. This is where it usually gets sweaty.
Chamber 1: First half had a bunch of those tanky consecrated beasts. Hit like trucks. My first try, I got stun-locked and wiped pretty fast. Annoying. Had to retry, focused more on dodging their big wind-up attacks. Used shields and healing, played it safer. Got through it eventually. Second half wasn’t too bad, more spread-out enemies, my AOE team handled it okay.
Chamber 2: This one felt tricky. First half had… I think it was the Coppelia/Coppelius duo again? Or something similar. Always hate splitting damage. Focused down one first, then the other. Took a couple tries to get the timing right so I wasn’t just getting hammered from both sides. Second half, can’t remember exactly, maybe some Nobushi and Kairagi? Just needed good grouping and burst damage. Cleared it after the Coppelia struggle.
Chamber 3: The final boss rush. First half threw some big single enemy at me. Needed consistent damage and good energy recharge to keep bursts up. Dodged a lot. It felt like a damage check, really. Managed it on the first try, just barely made the timer for three stars. The second half… ugh. I think it was another one of those multi-wave chambers with annoying combinations. Maybe rifthounds? Yeah, pretty sure. The corrosion is just tedious. Had to bring my best healer and just face-tank while trying to output enough damage. This took the most retries. Swapped a support character around, tried different rotations. Finally found a rhythm, grouped them up tight, and burned them down just before the timer ran out.

Wrapping Up
Phew. Got the 36 stars in the end. Took maybe an hour, hour and a half with all the retries on Floor 12, especially 12-3 second half. Felt challenging but not impossible this time. No super gimmicky mechanics that totally bricked my teams, which is always a plus. Just needed solid execution, decent builds, and a bit of patience for the retries. Glad it’s done for another cycle!
