Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this “craft a DJ set in Dreamlight Valley” idea, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I’m gonna walk you through what I did, bumps and all.
First Steps: Getting the Vibe Right
First thing I did was just wander around the Valley. Like, really look at it. I wanted the music to match the feel of the different areas, you know? I spent some time in the Plaza, the Meadow, the Beach… everywhere.

Then I started thinking about the characters. What kind of music would Goofy jam to? Would Remy appreciate something chill, or would he prefer some upbeat Parisian tunes? This part took a while because, well, I got distracted talking to everyone.
Building the Actual Setlist
This is where things got tricky. I had to somehow choose a song for all the differnet feeling and all the different characters. It was a mess, but I love doing that.
- The Plaza:
I decided to play a song that is lively, welcoming. It’s the heart of the Valley, so it needed something universal.
- Peaceful Meadow: I chose a song that is chill, nature, and something relaxing.
I also used a song that can match Goofy’s fishing and goofy personality.
- Dazzle Beach: A song for summer and party. I tried to think of Donald Duck.
- Forest of Valor: I chose a song for brave and adventure, also considering the characters live inside.
- Glade of Trust: A song about the mysterious swamp vibes. It’s gotta be a bit spooky, but also kind of magical.
- Sunlit Plateau: I was picturing Pride Rock the whole time, so, yeah, something that gives off that majestic, “circle of life” feeling.
- Frosted Heights: Something wintery and elegant and also can reflect Elsa.
- Forgotten Lands: Okay, this one was tough. It needed to be dark, but not too dark. Melancholy, maybe? It’s a place of lost memories, so the music should reflect that.
Putting It All Together
After I had some idea, and start mixing it, it took a while to get them well.
The biggest lesson I learned? Don’t be afraid to experiment! Some of my best ideas came from just messing around and seeing what happened. It’s all about having fun and creating something that feels right for your Dreamlight Valley.
