Okay, here’s my blog post about changing colors in The First Descendant, written from my personal experience:
So, I jumped into The First Descendant the other day, and like many of you, the first thing I wanted to do was customize my character. I mean, who wants to look like everyone else, right? I figured changing colors would be a snap, but it took a bit of digging around. Here’s how I finally figured it out.

Finding the Customization Options
First, I spent some time just running around, getting a feel for the game. I messed with the basic controls, shot some bad guys, the usual stuff. Then I thought, “Okay, time to make my character mine.” I hit the ESC key, which brought up that big menu, and my eyes immediately went to the character options. There’s nothing obvious named “dye” or “color change,” so I knew I had to find it.
My Customization Journey
Then I started my customization journey. I clicked on the arsenal, then found the Descendant, after that I found the appearance button, which finally brought me to where I needed to be.
Coloring the Descendant
In this interface, you will see multiple columns, and at the end you will see the color palette option. I clicked on it and the coloring system was right in front of me, I selected the color options, and tried different options until I found the style I was looking for, then I hit save, and it’s finally done!
It’s really all about going to customization and then digging into the color palette. A little bit of exploration goes a long way! I hope this helps you guys out. Have fun making your Descendants look awesome!
