Okay, so you wanna add some buddies to your Teapot in Genshin Impact, right? I remember when I first started playing, I was so confused about this. But don’t worry, it’s actually pretty simple once you get the hang of it. Let me walk you through what I did.
Getting Started
First things first, you gotta have your Serenitea Pot. You get this from completing a quest called “A Teapot to Call Home.” If you haven’t done that yet, go do it! It unlocks the whole housing system.

Placing Your Companions
Once I had my Teapot, I was super excited to invite my favorite characters over. Here’s how I did it:
- Enter the Teapot: I went to my inventory, found the Serenitea Pot, and used it to enter my realm.
- Open the Placement Menu: Once inside, I opened the placement menu. It’s the little hand icon at the top of the screen.
- Go to the Companion Tab: In the placement menu, you’ll see a bunch of tabs. I clicked on the one that looks like a little person – that’s the “Companion” tab.
- Choose Your Friends: Here, you’ll see a list of all the characters you’ve unlocked. Just click on the ones you want to add to your Teapot. I went a little crazy and added almost everyone at first!
- Place Them Down: After selecting your characters, you can place them anywhere you want in your realm, just like furniture. I put mine near the main house so they’re easy to find.
Increasing Companionship EXP
One of the cool things about having companions in your Teapot is that they earn Companionship EXP over time. The amount they earn depends on your Adeptal Energy rank. The higher your rank, the more EXP they get.
So i amped up my adeptal energy:
- Adeptal Energy: Make sure you’re crafting and placing furniture to increase your Adeptal Energy. It’s a grind, but it’s worth it!
Enjoying Your Company
And that’s it! Now you can hang out with your favorite characters in your Teapot whenever you want. I love going in there to chat with them and listen to their voice lines. It’s a nice little touch that makes the game feel even more immersive. Plus, racking up that Companionship EXP is a sweet bonus!
It took me a bit of trial and error to get everything set up the way I wanted, but it was definitely worth it. Have fun decorating and hanging out with your companions!
