Okay, so, I’ve been playing Baldur’s Gate 3 lately, right? And I stumbled upon this poor tiefling, Pandirna, in the Emerald Grove. She’s stuck, paralyzed, and I felt like I had to do something about it.
First off, I found her in this locked storehouse in the Emerald Grove. That place is filled with all kinds of junk, but she’s there, guarding a chest and can’t move a muscle. When I got close, she warned me to stay back, or she’d yell for the guards. I could see she was not playing around and I could not use the way of talking to ask her why she was paralyzed.
My first thought was, “There’s gotta be a way to help her.” I tried a few things, just kinda messing around. I threw a health potion at her, you know, just in case it was that simple. Nope, didn’t work. I started thinking about what spells I had. I remembered Shadowheart, she’s a cleric, right? Clerics have this spell called Lesser Restoration. I switched over to her, and had her cast it on Pandirna.
Here’s how it went down:
- I targeted Pandirna with the spell.
- Shadowheart did her thing, some magic happened, you know the drill.
- And boom! Pandirna could move again.
She was super grateful, it was kind of a feel-good moment. She even said she’d let me slide if I wanted to take something. I didn’t, but it was nice of her to offer. It felt good to help her out. After all, that’s what these games are all about, right? Making choices and seeing what happens.
I also learned that if you don’t have Shadowheart or you’re not a high enough level with your characters, there are other ways. Some folks online were saying you can use a basilisk potion. It is said that you can just throw it at her, and it’ll work. But I didn’t try that myself, so I can’t really say for sure. Then I realized that it seemed this Lesser Restoration thing is pretty handy. It’s not just for healing damage but also for fixing status stuff, like being paralyzed or poisoned. I made a mental note to remember that for later.
A Summary of Helping Pandirna
So, to sum it up, if you run into Pandirna, you need Lesser Restoration. You can get it with a Cleric, Paladin, Bard, or Druid. It’s a level 2 spell, so your characters need to be strong enough. Cast it on her, and she’s all good. It’s a small thing, but it’s those little moments that make the game cool. It was nice to just solve a problem without having to fight something for once. Felt like a real hero, haha.
And I guess that’s my little adventure with Pandirna. It’s pretty cool how many different things you can do in this game. Every time I play, I find something new. Anyway, hope this helps someone out there. Happy gaming, folks!
