Alright, so I wanted to figure out this whole “lip out” thing in Gray Zone Warfare. I’d heard some chatter about it, and honestly, it sounded kinda confusing. So, I decided to jump in and see what it was all about.
First, I launched the game. No biggie there, just the usual startup routine. Once I was in, I spent some time just running around, you know, getting a feel for the environment. Didn’t want to rush into anything without knowing the lay of the land.

Experimenting with Positioning
Then came the tricky part. I started experimenting with different positions, trying to understand what this “lip out” even meant. I figured it had something to do with peeking around corners or over cover, so I focused on that.
- I tried leaning, that’s the basic Q and E keys. Worked as expected, nothing new there.
- Then I crouched behind some boxes, tried leaning again. Still nothing special.
- I went prone, crawled to the edge of a wall, and peeked over. Hmmm, getting closer, maybe?
The “Aha!” Moment
It took a while, a lot of trial and error, but finally, I think I got it. It’s not really a single action, more like a combination of things. It’s about using the environment to your advantage, exposing as little of yourself as possible while still being able to see and shoot.
So, here’s what I found works best:
- Find some good cover, like a wall, a box, or even a dip in the terrain.
- Get as close to the edge as you can without exposing yourself too much.
- Use a combination of leaning, crouching, and even going prone to adjust your view.
- Practice peeking quickly and then ducking back into cover.
It’s not a magic button or anything, but mastering this “lip out” technique definitely gives you an edge. You can spot enemies before they spot you, and you can take shots while minimizing your risk. It’s all about being smart and using the environment to your advantage.
Still learning the ropes, but I’m definitely getting better at it. Gotta keep practicing!
