Alright, so I wanted to mess around with finding all the Gray Zone LZ locations. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey, but I figured it out and wanted to share how I did it.
Getting Started
First, I hopped into the game, obviously. I knew there had to be some kind of pattern to these landing zones, they couldn’t just be totally random, right? So, I decided to start with a systematic approach.
Mapping Things Out
I pulled up the map, and my first instinct was to just start flying around and marking every spot I could land.
- I started by picking a corner of the map.
- I flew around, checking every flat-ish area I could find.
- Every time I found a spot I could land, I marked it on my map with a custom waypoint.
I did this for a good while, just crisscrossing the map, trying to be thorough. It felt pretty tedious, but I figured it was the best way to make sure I didn’t miss anything.
Finding Patterns
After a few hours of doing this, I started to see some potential patterns. Many of these landing zones seemed to be clustered in certain areas, while other parts of the map were totally empty. It was like there were “hot zones” for LZs and then just… nothing.
I kept at it, focusing on those “hot zones” I’d identified.
- I got more detailed, checking every nook and cranny.
- I found a few more that I’d initially missed.
Double-Checking and Confirmation
Once I felt like I had a pretty solid map, I decided to double-check my work. I basically repeated the whole process, flying back over areas I’d already searched, just to be sure. This was probably overkill, but I’m a completionist at heart, what can I say?
And yep, I found a couple more that I’d somehow missed the first time around. It’s surprisingly easy to overlook a small clearing when you’re flying around.
Finally, I was confident.I have found * that’s my journey to find all Gray Zone lz locations.
