So, I stumbled upon this phrase, “plenty arisen to go round,” and it got me thinking. It sounds like there’s an abundance of something, right? Enough for everyone. I decided to put this to the test in my daily life, focusing on, well, opportunities.
I started my day actively looking for things. Usually, I just go through the motions, you know? Wake up, coffee, work, blah blah blah. But today, I was on the hunt. I opened my eyes – really opened them – to what was around me.

- First, at the coffee shop, I usually just grab my usual and go. Today, I noticed a flyer for a local art fair. I love art, but I always say I “don’t have time.” Today, I decided that was plenty of time.
- Then, at work, I usually avoid extra projects. Today, a colleague was overwhelmed. I offered to help, thinking, “plenty of energy to go round,” even if it was just a little boost.
- Finally got the art project that I wanted.
It was a simple shift, really. It wasn’t about magically creating more time or energy. It was about recognizing that there was, indeed, “plenty arisen to go round” – plenty of opportunities, plenty of kindness, plenty of, well, stuff – if I just paid attention.
The Result
The small help make the big * coworker is very happy for my help and the project is going smoothly.
It’s not like I became a superhero or anything. But I definitely felt a difference. It was a good day. A day filled with more than usual, simply because I chose to see it that way. Might try this again tomorrow.
