Alright, so I finally got my hands on Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut for PC. I was stoked! The game officially dropped on May 16th, and I’d pre-ordered it, so I could pre-load the files through Steam. That was a smooth move. Saved me a ton of time when it was time to actually start playing.
The first thing that hit me was this new PlayStation overlay. It’s a first for PlayStation titles on PC, and honestly, it’s pretty slick. I could see my Friends list, Trophies, Settings – all that good stuff. It felt like a proper console experience, but on my PC. It was good seeing.
I dive into the game, you know, following Jin Sakai’s story. This is the full Ghost of Tsushima experience, Director’s Cut and all, set in the late 13th century. Beautiful landscapes, intense sword fights, it’s all there, and it’s a blast.
But here’s the thing, sometimes you just want to get on with the action, right? Those cutscenes, they’re great and all, but when you’re replaying or just itching to get back into the thick of it, they can feel a bit long. So, I start wondering, “Can I skip these things?”
I poked around in the settings, but nothing. No obvious “skip cutscene” option. Hmm, a bit of a bummer. But I’m not one to give up easily.
- First, I tried the usual suspects – Enter key, Spacebar, Esc. Nothing.
- Then I started mashing random buttons, hoping for a hidden feature. Still nothing.
- Finally, I went online. Searched through forums, hoping someone had cracked the code. A few posts here and there, but nothing concrete.
Turns out, you can’t skip them. At least not yet, and not officially. It’s a design choice, maybe to keep you immersed in the story. I get it, but still, a skip option would’ve been nice.
So, there you have it. If you’re playing Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PC and hoping to skip those cutscenes, you’re out of luck for now. Just gotta sit back and watch them. Maybe grab a snack or something during those parts. It’s not the end of the world, the game’s still awesome, but yeah, that’s the deal.
Hopefully, the developers might add a skip feature in a future update. Fingers crossed! But until then, we’re all just gonna have to enjoy the scenery and the story, even if we’ve seen it a few times already.
