Okay, so I saw this “The Forest and the Princess Genshin” thing floating around and thought, “Hey, I play Genshin, let’s see what this is all about!” I’m not gonna lie, I was totally in the dark at first. I Googled it, and it seemed related to some kind of hidden world quest or puzzle, probably in Sumeru, since I know that’s the forest-y region.
Figuring Out Where to Start
My first step was just jumping into the game and heading to Sumeru. I figured I’d wander around the usual spots, you know, the places with lots of trees and maybe some ruins. I spent a good hour just exploring, enjoying the scenery, and beating up some Hilichurls along the way. I am pretty sure it is somewhere inside the forest so at least I got the right general location.

Then, I looked into online forums. Man, those places are a goldmine of information… and spoilers. So I tried to be careful, just skimming for hints without ruining the whole thing for myself. Someone mentioned something about a “hidden book” and an “Aranyaka” questline which might be related.
The Aranyaka Questline… Oh Boy
I’d actually started the Aranyaka questline before, but I got sidetracked by something shiny, as usual. I remembered it involved these little forest spirits, the Aranara, which is quite cute. So I picked that back up, figuring it was as good a place to start as any.
This questline is HUGE. Seriously, it just kept going and going. I was running errands for these little guys, solving puzzles, and exploring all sorts of hidden caves. I spent like, two whole evenings just on this part. It’s fun, don’t get me wrong, but it’s a commitment.
Putting the Pieces Together
As I progressed through the Aranyaka questline, things started to click. There were mentions of a princess and a forest, and some of the puzzles seemed related to the search results. Specifically, I found those book pages scattered around. I had to collect them all. I found it is not even hard to find, just needed to look around at some corners.
I won’t spoil the ending, but let’s just say it involved a bit of fighting, some more puzzle-solving, and a pretty cool reward. I felt a real sense of accomplishment when I finally finished it. Like, “Yeah, I conquered that massive quest!”
Overall, “The Forest and the Princess Genshin” thing turned out to be way more involved than I initially thought. It was a fun little adventure, though, and it reminded me why I love exploring in Genshin Impact. There’s always something new to discover, even if it takes a few days (and some help from online forums) to figure it out!
