First, I stumbled upon this quest while exploring. It’s called “Narration Footnotes,” and it’s all about these ancient Oracle Pillars. The tricky part? You gotta connect these pillars in a specific order using some kind of magic thread. Sounds easy, right? Nope.

The first pillar puzzle I tackled was the “Shape of Valor.” I found this ringed pillar and realized I had to link it to the others. I pressed the interact button, and this glowing thread shot out, connecting the pillars. The order was crucial: 1, then 2, 3, 5, and finally 4. After a few tries, I got it right, and boom – an Exquisite Chest popped up. Not gonna lie, that felt pretty good.
But the quest asked for something more: “Traveler-Marquis and his retinue”, and “Wisdom”. I also met a stone tablet in Cuijue Slope. It leads me to another quest, “Nine Pillars of Peace”. I need to insert a Stone of Remembrance into each pillar to break the seal. Leveling up Statues of the Seven in Liyue can get these stones. I did as it says, and it really worked!
- Approach the ringed Oracle Pillar.
- Press the interact button to start the magic thread.
- Connect the pillars in the correct sequence (it might take a few tries!).
- Collect your reward – usually a chest.
Sometimes, the magic thread wouldn’t connect where I wanted it to. It was frustrating, but I figured out that you have to be standing in the right spot and looking at the pillar from a specific angle. It’s all about perspective, I guess.
Honestly, these puzzles were a bit of a headache at first, but once I got the hang of it, they were actually kind of fun. It’s satisfying to finally crack the code and see that chest appear.
