Man, I gotta tell you guys about this mobile game I’ve been hooked on lately – Monopoly GO! It’s like the classic board game we all grew up with, but with a bunch of cool twists that make it perfect for playing on your phone. One thing that’s got me really digging into the game is trying to figure out all the different boards. So, I decided to start tracking them all.
I started playing a few weeks ago, and at first, I was just rolling dice, buying properties, and trying not to go bankrupt. Pretty standard Monopoly stuff, you know? But then I noticed that each time I leveled up, I’d unlock a whole new board with a different theme. That’s when my mission began. I had to see them all.
First, I just started taking screenshots whenever I unlocked a new board. I figured that would be enough, right? Wrong. Turns out, each board also has a different cost to fully build out all the properties. So, I started jotting that down too. My notes app quickly became a mess of board names and numbers.
Then, I thought, “Why not make it a bit more organized?” I moved everything over to a spreadsheet. Much better. Now I have columns for the board name, the total cost to build it out, and even a little section for notes about anything special I notice about that board. I also use bold to mark my favorite board in my table.
Here is what I’ve found so far:
My Monopoly GO Boards List
- New York – Cost: $1.25M – Notes: The first one!
- Los Angeles – Cost: $2.78M – Notes: This was harder.
- London – Cost: $4.73M – Notes: Red buses.
- Sydney – Cost: $9.96M – Notes: Beaches.
- Tokyo – Cost: $16.42M – Notes: Sushi time!
- Barcelona – Cost: $35.28M – Notes: Soccer balls.
- Toronto – Cost: $78.79M – Notes: Snow time!
- Singapore – Cost: $119.7M – Notes: It’s really hot.
- Rome – Cost: $220.5M – Notes: Colosseum
- Paris – Cost: $398.52M – Notes: Eiffel Tower
- New Orleans – Cost: $888.48M – Notes: Jazz music!
- Berlin – Cost: $1.46B – Notes: German cars.
- Dubai – Cost: $2.72B – Notes: I think I’ll get rich!
I’m still playing and still adding to my list. My goal is to get to board 101. If any of you are playing Monopoly GO too, let me know what boards you’ve found! Maybe we can compare notes and see if we’re missing any. It’s actually pretty fun trying to collect them all, and it gives me something to work towards in the game. It’s like a little side quest, except instead of finding treasure, I’m just trying to build a digital real estate empire. Gotta keep rolling those dice!
