Okay, so I finally got around to properly building the Harmony Trailblazer. Been hearing a lot about ’em, especially with the whole Super Break thing, and wanted to see what the fuss was about. The first step, naturally, was figuring out which light cone actually works best in practice.
My First Steps and Initial Trials
Right off the bat, I just grabbed whatever spare Harmony cone I had leveled. Think it was maybe `Chorus` or something basic like that. Did a few runs in the Simulated Universe and some daily farming. It worked, kinda? But it felt really… slow. The energy wasn’t filling up fast enough, and the damage felt okay but not amazing when the break happened.

It was pretty clear the basic cones weren’t cutting it. This character lives and breathes by their Ultimate, so energy regeneration felt super important. And obviously, you want Break Effect, lots of it.
Diving Deeper: Testing Specific Cones
So, I started digging through my inventory and considering the usual suspects:
- Memories of the Past: This one seemed like the obvious choice on paper. It gives Break Effect, which is perfect, and it helps with energy after the wearer attacks. I slapped this on, leveled it up a bit, and went back to testing. Honestly? It felt much better immediately. The ult came back noticeably faster, especially after using the basic attack, which you do sometimes. The extra Break Effect was a nice bonus too, directly helping the damage. Felt pretty smooth.
- Dance! Dance! Dance!: I love this cone on other Harmony characters for the team-wide action advance. So, I thought, why not try it here? Swapped it in. When the Ultimate did go off, yeah, the team zooming forward was great, especially for clearing waves faster. But… getting the energy for the Ultimate felt a little less consistent compared to `Memories of the Past`. If you don’t have enough Energy Regeneration from relics, you definitely feel it. It’s good, but felt like it had a higher requirement to work smoothly.
- But the Battle Isn’t Over (Bronya’s Cone): I have this one, but only at S1. The Energy Regeneration Rate is definitely top-tier, no question. That helps a TON with getting the ult back. The skill point recovery is also neat, helps with team management. But the second part, the damage buff for the next ally taking action after the skill… the Harmony MC doesn’t really use their skill that often, usually just to start the ult sequence or if needed. So that part felt a bit wasted most of the time. It’s a strong cone, especially for the ER, but felt like overkill or not fully utilized compared to its potential on someone like Bronya herself.
- Past and Future: This is the free-to-play one from the Memory of Chaos shop. The damage bonus is nice, but man, you gotta time it right. Use the skill, then the next ally gets the buff. With the Harmony MC wanting to use their Ult frequently, which doesn’t involve the skill directly activating the buff, it felt awkward. I kept messing up the timing or having the buff land on someone I didn’t intend. Too much micromanagement for me, felt clunky.
Comparing and Making a Choice
After running these cones through various scenarios – boss fights, farming, Simulated Universe – I kept coming back to a couple of key things for the Harmony MC:
1. Ultimate Uptime is King: You want that Super Break active as much as possible. Consistent energy is crucial.
2. Break Effect Matters: More Break Effect means bigger booms when the toughness breaks and during the Super Break phase.
Comparing them based on my runs, `But the Battle Isn’t Over` gave the best energy, but felt like a premium option not everyone has, and part of its effect wasn’t ideal. `Dance! Dance! Dance!` was fun for the speed boost but less reliable for energy unless I stacked ER substats heavily. `Past and Future` was just too fiddly for my liking.

Memories of the Past just hit that sweet spot. It gives Break Effect directly, which the MC scales with. And the extra energy it provides helps smooth out the rotation significantly, making it easier to keep the Ultimate rolling. Especially at higher superimpositions (which is easier to get since it’s a 4-star), it feels really consistent.
My Final Pick
So, after all that messing around, I’ve settled on using Memories of the Past for my Harmony Trailblazer. For my playstyle and what I prioritize – consistent Ultimate uptime and boosting that core Break Effect stat – it just felt the most comfortable and effective. It’s also relatively accessible being a 4-star cone.
Sure, `Dance! Dance! Dance!` can be great situationally, and Bronya’s cone offers amazing raw ER, but for general, reliable performance supporting the MC’s main job, `Memories of the Past` has been my practical choice. It just works well without needing perfect relic stats or complicated setups.
