Oh boy, it was quite a journey! I started by watching a live stream, and I noticed ExtraEmily‘s room was a total mess. It got me thinking about my own space, which, I must admit, wasn’t much better.
So, I decided to take action. I grabbed a big trash bag and just started throwing stuff in. Clothes, papers, random junk—you name it. It felt kind of liberating, like I was shedding my old, messy self.
- Started with the obvious trash.
- Moved on to clothes I hadn’t worn in ages.
- Tackled the dreaded “doom piles” of random stuff.
After that, I sorted through what was left. I made separate piles for things to keep, donate, and things I needed to think about more. It was tough, but I was determined to make a change.
Next, I focused on my desk, which was basically a disaster zone. I used some trays I had lying around to organize my stuff. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a huge improvement.
Once I had everything sorted and organized, I gave the room a good cleaning. I dusted, vacuumed, and even wiped down the walls. It was a lot of work, but the feeling of having a clean and organized space was so worth it.
It wasn’t easy, and I definitely felt overwhelmed at times. But I kept pushing through, and now I have a room I can actually relax in. It’s not sparkling clean like in those magazines, but it’s a space that feels like me, just a much more organized version.
