Okay, so today I messed around with getting “echo h81” to show up with Wuthering Waves. Here’s how it went down, from start to finish:
First Attempts – Just Trying Stuff
First, I just straight up opened the game, hoping maybe there was a console or something obvious. Nope. Nothing. Tried typing “echo h81” in the chat – yeah, that didn’t work either. Of course not, dummy. So I knew I needed a different plan.

Digging Around – Finding the Files
Next, I started poking around in the game files. You know, the usual stuff – program files, app data, all that jazz. I figured there had to be a config file somewhere that controlled, like, everything. I was looking for anything that looked like a command prompt, a terminal, or something similar I can use.
Text Editor Time – Getting My Hands Dirty
I found a few files that looked promising – mostly .ini and .txt files. I opened them up with a text editor (I just used Notepad, nothing fancy) and started scanning for anything that looked like a command I could change. I saw some settings for graphics and controls, but nothing that would let me straight-up run a command.
The “Aha!” Moment (Sort Of)
After some more digging which I dont have that much time to keep wasting on it, I finally find something to try! I find how to access the in-game command by pressing the “~” key.
Putting It All Together
I loaded back into the game and give it a try and typed “echo h81”. I pressed Enter, hoping for the best. Then it showed up on the screen, and it worked!
The Takeaway
Basically, you can’t just “run” commands in Wuthering Waves like you would in some other games. You have to find the right command line to make it work.
