Alright, so I finally decided to tackle “Ghost of Tsushima” again. I played it a bit when it first came out, but, you know, life happens. This time, I wanted to be a bit more organized about it, so I figured I’d make a mission list. Sounds simple, right? Famous last words.
First, I fired up the game, ready to just jot things down as I played. Yeah, that didn’t last. I got sucked in almost immediately! The scenery, the combat… I was like, “Okay, just one more mission, then I’ll write it down.” Three hours later, my “mission list” was, like, two lines long.

So, Plan B. I thought, “I’ll just find a list online. Someone’s gotta have done this already.” I jumped on the internet, started searching, and… wow. There are a LOT of missions in this game. I mean, I knew there were a bunch, but seeing them all laid out was kinda intimidating.
I found a few different lists, some were just the main story missions, others included all the side quests and Tales of Tsushima. I decided I wanted to try and do as much as possible, so I went with the most complete list I could find.
My “System” (and I use that term loosely)
- Main Story (Jin’s Journey): I figured I’d follow these pretty closely, since, you know, that’s the main game.
- Tales of Tsushima: These are the side quests, and there are tons of them. I decided to do these as I came across them, or if I was in the area.
- Mythic Tales: These are special side quests that give you cool gear or abilities. I marked these as high priority, because, who doesn’t want awesome stuff?
- Liberate area:Clear all areas occupied by the enemy.
I copied the big list into a simple text document. I’m not a spreadsheet person, okay? I just wanted something basic. As I played, I’d alt-tab out and put an “X” next to the missions I’d completed. High-tech, I know.
It wasn’t perfect, and I definitely got sidetracked a few (dozen) times, but it helped! At least I had some idea of what I’d done and what was left. I’m still working my way through it, but I feel a lot more organized this time around. And the game is just as amazing as I remember. Even better, maybe, now that I’m not just wandering around aimlessly (most of the time).
So, yeah, that’s my “Ghost of Tsushima” mission list adventure. Not exactly rocket science, but hey, it worked for me! If you’re planning on playing, maybe this will give you some ideas. Or at least a good laugh at my low-tech methods.
