Okay, let me tell you about this Tarkov big sale thing I went through.
Getting Ready for the Action
So I heard chatter about a big sale coming up in Tarkov. You know how it is, whispers in the community, maybe a hint dropped somewhere official-like. My first thought was, alright, gotta check my stash and my rubles. No point having a sale if you’re broke, right?

I spent a good evening just sorting my inventory. Sold off a bunch of junk I didn’t need, stuff I’d piled up from raids. Trying to get that ruble count looking healthy. Then I started thinking, what do I actually need? Usually, during these things, I focus on:
- Cases (Ammo cases, Medcases, those big item cases if I can swing it)
- Maybe some hideout upgrade stuff if the price drops significantly
- High-tier ammo, if the traders are selling it cheap
- Keys I’ve been meaning to get
Didn’t want to go in blind, just clicking wildly. Made a little mental list, or maybe scribbled it down, can’t remember. The main thing was having a plan.
The Sale Kicks Off
When the day came, I logged in pretty much as soon as I could. Expected chaos, honestly. Sometimes these events just break the servers, you know? Took a few tries to get in, but wasn’t too bad this time around, thankfully.
First thing I did was hit up the traders. Peacekeeper, Mechanic, Prapor – checked their stock. Saw the discounts immediately. Okay, this is real. Prices looked decent on some things, especially gear and some weapon parts. But my eye was on the bigger ticket items.
Making the Moves
Jumped over to Jaeger. Needed another SICC case, always handy. Saw the price drop, clicked buy immediately. Got it. Phew. Then Therapist for a Medcase, same deal. Easy enough. The real game, though, was the Flea Market. I figured some player prices might drop too, maybe undercut the traders or sell stuff traders didn’t have discounted.
Spent a while just refreshing the Flea, watching prices. It was wild. Some stuff dropped hard, other things barely moved. Guess other folks had the same idea. I snagged a couple of rare keys I was missing for way less than usual. That felt good. Picked up bulk ammo too from traders – good old BS and Igolnik when Prapor had it discounted. Stacked that deep in an ammo case.

The hardest part was deciding when to stop. You see a good deal, you grab it. Then you see another. It’s easy to just burn through all your cash. Had to stick to my original list mostly. Resisted buying that fancy thermal scope just ’cause it was cheaper. Didn’t really need it right now.
What I Noticed
Servers felt a bit laggy at peak times. Clicking through trader menus sometimes took a second longer than usual. Flea market refreshes were occasionally slow. Nothing game-breaking for me, but you could feel the strain. Lots of people were definitely online hammering the servers.
Also saw some weird price gouging attempts on the Flea for items not on sale, maybe people trying to trick others in the rush. Always gotta be careful, double-check those prices before clicking.
Was It Worth It?
Yeah, I think so. Managed to get almost everything on my list. Got that SICC case, the Medcase, topped up my ammo significantly, and filled a few gaps in my key collection. Saved a decent chunk of rubles compared to normal prices.
My main takeaway: go in with a plan. Know what you want and roughly what it normally costs. Don’t just buy stuff ’cause it’s flashing with a discount. And have the cash ready before it starts. Otherwise, you just watch the good deals fly by while you’re trying to sell your junk last minute. It was a good run this time, definitely stocked up for a good few raids now.
