Okay, so I’ve been messing around with voice stuff for a while, and I wanted to try to get a specific voice for this character, “Anby,” from, like, a game or something. I’m calling this whole experiment “Anby Voice Actor ZZZ” just ’cause… well, it’s what I named the folder, and I’m sticking with it.
First, I spent, like, forever listening to different voice actors. I went through a bunch of clips, trying to find someone who had that, you know, vibe I was looking for. It’s hard to explain, but I wanted someone who could sound both, like, strong and a little bit mysterious.
I finally found a few that I thought might work. I wrote down their names and started digging around to see if I could find any contact info. This part was a pain, honestly. Some of them had agents, some had websites, some were just, like, ghosts on the internet.
- Voice Actor 1: Found their agent, sent an email. No reply yet.
- Voice Actor 2: Found a website, but the contact form looked super old. Sent a message anyway. Fingers crossed.
- Voice Actor 3: This one was tough! Found them on a voice acting forum, sent a private message.
So, while I was waiting to hear back (which is the most boring part, ugh), I started working on a sample script. I wanted something short, but something that showed off the character’s personality. Nothing too crazy, just a few lines of dialogue.
Getting the Audio
The plan is, once (if!) I hear back from anyone, I’ll send them the script and see if they’re interested. If they are, we’ll figure out the whole recording process. I’m hoping they have their own setup, ’cause I’m definitely not a sound engineer.
Right now, it’s all just a waiting game. I’ve got my fingers crossed that one of these actors will work out. It’s always a bit of a gamble, but that’s part of the fun, I guess. If this whole thing actually works, I’ll have that perfect “Anby” voice, and that’ll be super cool.
Still waiting to hear something….This is my story for today.
