Alright, folks, let’s talk about something I messed around with recently: disbanding my army in Manor Lords. Sounds simple, right? Well, it kinda is, but there are a few things I learned along the way that I figured I’d share.
First off, I started a new game, just to have a clean slate. I didn’t want any lingering effects from previous playthroughs messing with my experiment. I built up my settlement a bit, got some basic resources flowing, you know, the usual early-game stuff.

Getting My Militia Together
Then, I focused on getting some manpower. You need a few families with enough free workers to actually form a militia unit. I constructed a few extra houses, I made sure that families have jobs. and eventually, I had enough guys to raise my first unit. I clicked on the “Raise Militia” button, and boom, I had some spearmen ready to go.
Got it!
Time to Disband
Okay, so I had my army. Now for the main event – getting rid of them. I simply selected my militia unit, and find the button. There it was, plain as day: “Disband.” I clicked it, and… poof! My soldiers went back to being regular villagers.
The Aftermath (and a Few Observations)
- First, the obvious: my military strength went down to zero. Makes sense, right? I literally just got rid of my army.
- Second, those guys who were soldiers? They went right back to their old jobs. Or, if they didn’t have a specific job assigned, they became available workers again. So, disbanding is a pretty clean process.
- Third, I noticed that I didn’t get any resources *’s a one-way street.
- Forth,I tried disband on the road and in my * works!
So, there you have it. Disbanding your army in Manor Lords is pretty straightforward. Just select the unit, click “Disband,” and you’re done. It’s a good way to free up your population if you need more workers for other tasks, but remember, you’ll be vulnerable until you raise another army.
