Alright, let’s talk about something that’s been bugging me for a while. You know Paige, right? The wrestler? Well, I got sucked into this whole rabbit hole about her family, especially her brother, Zak. I was watching this movie, “Fighting with My Family,” and it got me thinking, “Did this guy ever make it to the big leagues, like, WWE?”
So, I started digging. First, I went straight to the most obvious place, to search and find out the details about his information. Turns out, his real name is Zak Bevis, but he goes by Zak Zodiac in the wrestling world. He’s a few years older than Paige. Apparently, wrestling is like, the family business or something. Then, I went to check the movie, and found the producer was Dwayne Johnson, which explained why it was 95% accurate.
Anyway, from what I gathered, Zak’s been wrestling since he was a kid, like, six years old! He started the same time with Paige, and always dreamed of becoming a WWE Superstar. He’s had a few tryouts with WWE, which is a big deal. Imagine getting that close to your dream! I found this interview where he talked about trying out multiple times. He was on “Talk is Jericho”, spilled the beans about his struggles after getting rejected.
And get this – the movie “Fighting with My Family” is actually based on their lives, focusing a lot on Paige and Zak’s relationship. It’s pretty accurate, apparently. Maybe it’s because The Rock produced it or something. I remember there was this one part where Paige gets signed to WWE, and Zak doesn’t. That must have been rough.
From what I read, he never actually got signed. I mean, the guy is good, no doubt. He’s been wrestling on the independent circuit in Europe. Seems like he’s made a name for himself there, but it’s not the same as WWE, you know? Currently, Zak’s with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), which is another wrestling promotion. He’s even in a group called The Outcasts and goes by Zak Knight there. So, he’s still in the game, just not where he initially wanted to be.
So, did Zak make it to WWE? No, he didn’t. It’s a bit of a letdown, but the guy’s still out there, doing his thing. It just goes to show, sometimes things don’t go as planned, even when you put your whole life into it.
- He was wrestling since he was six years old.
- He had tried out a second time for WWE.
- He has his own shot on a big stage numerous times.
- He was signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
- He also performs for AEW’s sister promotion Ring of Honor (ROH).
What I have known about Zak’s professional experience
I guess it’s a reminder that even in the world of wrestling, there are a lot of ups and downs. But hey, at least Zak’s story got told in a movie, even if he didn’t make it to the WWE.
