What Did Rock Give Cody? Well, let me tell ya!
You know, that Rock fella, big muscles and all, he showed up on that Monday night thingy, Raw they call it. And that Cody, the one with the neck tattoo, he was there too. Folks were all excited, like chickens when you throw ’em corn. But what really happened? What did that Rock give Cody? It ain’t as simple as handing over a candy bar, I tell ya.
First off, The Rock, he gave Cody a whole lotta trouble, that’s for sure. It was like watching a dog chase its tail, round and round they went. Rock, he’s a talker, you know? He talks and talks, and Cody, he just stands there, sometimes looking like he swallowed a fly. Rock was talkin’ about Cody’s daddy, Dusty, and all that. Said Cody couldn’t lace Dusty’s boots. Now, that’s harsh, even for an old woman like me. It was like listening to my neighbor’s rooster crowing all morning – noisy and kinda pointless. The Rock gave Cody a big ol’ headache with all that yapping. He made Cody look kinda weak, like a wet noodle, in front of all those people.
- The Rock talked a lot
- Cody looked confused sometimes
- It was noisy like a rooster
Then there’s this necklace thing. Rock, he wears this big, fancy necklace, calls himself the “Tribal Chief.” Sounds like something out of a dime store novel to me. Anyways, some folks are sayin’ Rock mighta given Cody a bead from that necklace. Like, “here ya go, kid, you’re the boss now.” But did he? I didn’t see it with my own eyes. It’s all whispers and rumors, like when folks say they saw a ghost in the old Miller place. Maybe it happened, maybe it didn’t. If he did give Cody a bead, that’s like sayin’ Cody’s the big shot now, the top dog. But it’s all so confusing, like tryin’ to figure out how that newfangled TV remote works.
And this whole “bargain” thing? Sounded like a bunch of hogwash to me. Rock said he’d do somethin’ for Cody, but then Cody acted all high and mighty, like he got the short end of the stick. Rock poured honey in his ear, whatever that means. Sounds sticky and messy, like when my grandkid gets into the jam jar. The Rock gave Cody a big ol’ dose of confusion and maybe a bit of a sticky ear. It was like watchin’ two squirrels fightin’ over a nut, except the nut was… well, I don’t rightly know what the nut was.
People keep talkin’ about this “Raw title” and “Smackdown title.” Sounds like a bunch of made-up nonsense to me. Like those fellas wearin’ fancy belts make ’em any better at wrestlin’. But from what I hear, this Netflix thing, whatever that is, needs Cody to win one of them belts. So maybe The Rock, in his own crazy way, was tryin’ to help Cody get there. The Rock gave Cody a path, maybe, a way to get that shiny belt. But it’s a twisty path, like the one leadin’ up to Widow Johnson’s house.
And then there was that steel cage match. Cody and Solo, that big fella, beatin’ each other up in a cage. Looked like a bunch of roosters in a coop, all feathers and claws. The Rock wasn’t in that match, but it felt like he was still there, somehow. Like his shadow was hangin’ over the whole thing. The Rock gave Cody a fight, even if he wasn’t in the ring himself. He stirred things up, got everyone all riled up. Like when you poke a beehive with a stick – not a smart thing to do, but it sure gets things movin’.
So, what did The Rock really give Cody? It’s hard to say for sure. He gave him trouble, he gave him a maybe-bead, he gave him a headache, and maybe, just maybe, he gave him a way to win. It’s all a big, tangled mess, like my yarn basket after the cat gets into it. But one thing’s for certain, that Rock fella, he sure knows how to stir up trouble. And Cody, well, he’s gotta figure out how to clean it all up. In the end, The Rock gave Cody a whole lot to deal with. And that’s the truth, as sure as I’m sittin’ here in my rockin’ chair.
It’s like when you plant a seed, you don’t know what’s gonna grow, right? Could be a flower, could be a weed. The Rock planted a seed in Cody’s life, and now we gotta wait and see what blooms. But I bet it’ll be somethin’ to watch. Just like watchin’ the corn grow in the summer, it takes time, but eventually you see the results.
