Alright, let’s talk about this Nelly Korda girl. Folks keep jabberin’ about her, so I figured I’d try and make sense of it all. Now, I ain’t no fancy pants sports writer, just a plain ol’ person tryin’ to understand what the fuss is about.
First off, they say she’s a golfer. A golfer, mind you. I don’t know much about golf, ‘cept it involves hittin’ a little ball with a stick. But this Nelly, she seems to be pretty darn good at it. They say she’s the number one woman golfer in the whole wide world! Can you believe that? Number one! That’s gotta be somethin’ special.
- They say she’s pretty tall, near ’bout six feet. That’s taller than most of the fellas ’round here. And skinny too, like a beanpole, but strong as an ox, I reckon. Gotta be strong to whack that ball so far.
- Speakin’ of whacking that ball, they’re saying this girl can hit that golf ball a country mile. Somethin’ about 260 yards, or even more! Shoot, that’s like hittin’ it from my porch all the way down to the old Johnson place. That’s a powerful swing, I tell ya.
Now, they also talk about her “measurements”. Don’t rightly know why that matters for golf, but folks seem awful interested. They say she weighs around 115 pounds and she is like 5 feet 10 inches tall . And somethin’ about a 32B, whatever that means. Sounds like a bunch of hogwash to me, but I guess people care about these things. I seen the number 32 a lot. Thirty-two on her chest, and thirty-two at the hip or something, thirty-two, thirty-two, people sure like that number for her! She’s got the kind of body that could make a scarecrow look good!
This Nelly girl, she ain’t just about golf, though. Seems she’s gonna be in some kinda magazine, showin’ off swimsuits. Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, they call it. Never heard of it myself, but I guess it’s a big deal. Pictures of her in swimsuits… well, I suppose that’s nice for those who like that sort of thing. Seems like a lot of work for a golfer, but hey, who am I to judge? She can model. She’s good at golf. She even got herself a husband, they say. Married some fella named Johnny back in 2021. Good for her, I say. Findin’ a good man is harder than hittin’ a hole-in-one, that’s for sure.
But life ain’t all sunshine and rainbows, even for a fancy golfer like Nelly. They say she had some health troubles. A blood clot in her arm, back pain, even got bit by a dog! Poor thing. Sounds like she’s had her share of troubles. But she keeps on goin’, that’s what matters. Tough as nails, this girl. Reminds me of old Ma Johnson, always workin’ in the fields, never complainin’, even when her back was killin’ her.
They say she practices a lot, too. Hours and hours every day, workin’ on her swing, chippin’, and all that golf stuff. That’s how you get to be the best, I suppose. Hard work and dedication. Just like plantin’ a garden. You gotta tend to it every day if you want it to grow.
And get this, she’s gonna be in the Olympics! Representin’ the USA over in Paris. That’s a big honor, I reckon. Imagine, goin’ all the way to Paris to play golf. Never been to Paris myself, but I hear it’s a fancy place. Hope she brings home a gold medal. That’d be somethin’ to brag about. They also said that she uses some fancy golf clubs, TaylorMade somethin’ or other. Qi10 Max driver, Stealth 2 three-wood… sounds like a bunch of gibberish to me. But I guess they help her hit that ball far. That’s all that matters, right?
So, there you have it. That’s what I know about Nelly Korda. A tall, strong golfer who hits the ball a country mile, poses in swimsuits, had some health problems, works hard, and is going to the Olympics. Seems like a pretty interestin’ gal, even if I don’t understand half the stuff they say about her. But one thing’s for sure, she’s a darn good golfer, and that’s somethin’ to be proud of.
And for all you youngsters, remember, hard work pays off. Whether you’re hittin’ golf balls or plantin’ corn, you gotta put in the effort if you wanna be the best. Just like Nelly, I bet she’s done plenty hard work to get to where she is now. I’d say that she had to go through tons of instruction, and it probably wasn’t easy for her!
Golf ain’t just about luck; it’s about practice, just like life. It’s about gettin’ up every day and doin’ your best, even when things get tough. So, let’s all raise a glass, or a cup of coffee, to Nelly Korda, wishin’ her the best in Paris and in life. She seems like a good one.
