Okay, here’s my blog post about the “animal well bunny mural”, written from a personal experience perspective, using simple HTML tags and a conversational tone:
So, I saw this “Animal Well” game and got completely hooked. That bunny mural, though! I knew I had to try and recreate it somehow. I’m no artist, mind you, but I do like messing around with crafts and stuff.

First, I scoured the internet for decent images. I needed a good reference, you know? I grabbed a few screenshots from the game and some fan art that showed the mural clearly.
Then came the planning stage. I decided to go with a big piece of cardboard as my base. I could have used canvas, I guess, but cardboard is cheap and I had a huge box lying around from a recent delivery. I measured out a good-sized rectangle, kind of eyeballing it to match the proportions of the in-game mural.
The Messy Part
Next up, I sketched the basic outline of the bunny and the surrounding…well, whatever that stuff is supposed to be! Vines? Weird symbols? It’s kinda hard to tell, but I tried my best to capture the general shapes.
- I used a pencil for this, so I could erase any mistakes.
- And boy, were there mistakes! My bunny looked more like a deformed potato at first.
- I used a large eraser.
Once I was reasonably happy with the sketch, it was time for paint. I dug out my old acrylic paints – mostly primary colors, thankfully – and started mixing. Lots of browns, yellows, and a touch of green for that mossy, underground vibe.
I slapped on the paint, layer by layer. I’m not gonna lie, it was messy. I got paint on my hands, my clothes, even a little on the cat (don’t worry, he’s fine!). But it was fun! I started with the background, then filled in the bunny, and finally added some details with a smaller brush.
The hardest part was definitely getting the bunny’s eyes right. They’re so…expressive in the game. I spent a good hour just fiddling with those, trying to make them look less derpy.

The Finished Product
After a few days of on-and-off work, I finally finished! It’s not perfect, not by a long shot. The colors are a bit off, the lines are wobbly, and my bunny still looks a little…special. But you know what? I made it. And I’m pretty proud of it. It’s hanging up in my game room now, a little reminder of that awesome, weird game.
I think that it is a pretty cool result.
