Alright, let’s talk about this Coco Gauff girl and that Annie Leibovitz lady. I saw some pictures, you know, the ones in that fancy magazine, Vogue, they call it. My granddaughter, she reads it sometimes, leaves it lyin’ around.
So, this Coco, she’s a tennis player, a good one, they say. Young thing, just about turnin’ 20. Annie, she’s a picture taker, a real famous one. Been takin’ pictures of big shots for ages. Kings and queens, movie stars, the whole shebang.
Now, Annie took some pictures of Coco. For that Vogue magazine. They made a big fuss about it. Said it was a big deal. Well, I guess it is. Coco, she’s all dolled up, lookin’ pretty. Annie, she knows how to make folks look good, even if they ain’t much to look at in the first place, not sayin’ Coco ain’t pretty mind you.
They got pictures of Coco with her family too. Her mama, Candi, her daddy, Corey, and her brothers, Cameron and Codey. Nice lookin’ family, all smiles. Seems like good folks. Annie, she got ’em all standin’ just so, smilin’ just right. She’s good at that, makin’ things look perfect. Probably took a hundred pictures just to get one good one. That’s how they do it, them fancy picture takers.
This Annie, she’s been takin’ pictures for a long time. Since the 70s, they say. That’s way back when I was a young’un myself. She took pictures of all sorts of famous people. Singers, actors, even that muscle man, Arnold somethin’-or-other. And that woman with the big belly, Demi Moore, pregnant as a goose.
- Coco’s a tennis star.
- Annie’s a famous photographer.
- They did a photoshoot for Vogue.
- Coco’s family was in the pictures too.
People say Annie’s pictures are special. Dramatic, they call ’em. Quirky, too. And iconic. Big words, but I guess they mean somethin’. She sets things up just so, lights ’em up real good, and uses lots of bright colors. Makes things pop, you know?
I saw one picture, it was real famous, they said. John Lennon and his wife, Yoko. Taken just hours before somethin’ bad happened to him. Sad, that is. But the picture, it’s somethin’ else. Shows you what Annie can do, capture a moment in time, make it last forever.
Coco, she’s just startin’ out, I reckon. Got a long way to go. But Annie, she’s been around the block a few times. Seen it all, done it all. Two different women, from different worlds, but they came together for this magazine thing. And it seems like they did a pretty good job of it.
My granddaughter, she likes Coco. Says she’s a good role model. Works hard, plays fair, and treats folks right. That’s what matters in the end I tell ya. Annie, well, she’s just good at what she does. Takin’ pictures. Makin’ memories. And that’s somethin’ special, ain’t it?
So, there you have it. Coco and Annie. Tennis star and picture taker. They made some pretty pictures together. And that’s all there is to it. Don’t need to make a big fuss about it. It’s just life, folks doin’ what they do. Some hit balls, some take pictures. And sometimes, they do it together. And it ends up in a magazine for all the world to see. Goes to show you, the world’s a funny place.
And that’s all I gotta say about that. Now, where did I put my glasses… these magazines print the words so darn small these days.
One last thing, Coco, she’s starting her Sunshine Swing campaign. Whatever that is. Sounds like fun though. Maybe she’ll win some more of them tennis matches. And Annie, she’ll probably keep takin’ pictures. That’s what they do, them famous folks. Keep on doin’ what they do best.
