Alright, so I decided to jump back into Clash of Clans the other day, and I figured I’d mess around with the Builder Hall 5 (BH5) attacks. It’s been a while, so I was kinda rusty, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
Getting Started: My Initial Setup
First things first, I checked out my base. I had the usual suspects – you know, the Archer Towers, Cannons, Double Cannons, and the Firecrackers. My troops were a mix of Barbarians, Archers, and those sneaky Giants. All were at a pretty basic level, level 5. I thought to my self that I should just get a taste of how to attack with current troops.

The First Few Attacks: Feeling Things Out
I launched a few attacks just to get a feel for things. Honestly, it was a bit of a mess at first! I’d throw in my troops, and they’d just kinda wander around, getting picked off by defenses. I quickly realized I needed a bit more strategy than “throw everything at the wall and see what sticks.”
- Attack 1: Total disaster. Barbarians went straight for the Crusher. Ouch.
- Attack 2: Slightly better. Used Giants to soak up some damage, but still got crushed.
- Attack 3: Started to see some progress. Focused on taking out the Archer Towers first.
Developing a (Slightly) Better Strategy
After some trial and error (and a lot of losses), I started to develop a somewhat decent strategy:
- I deploy my giants first.
- Then deploy rest of troops.
Simple, I know. But it actually started to work! By focusing on those key defenses, I could create a path for my other troops to get to the Builder Hall.
The “Aha!” Moment
The real turning point came when I realized the importance of troop placement. Instead of just dumping everyone in one spot, I started to spread them out a bit, attacking from multiple angles. This made it harder for the defenses to focus on any one group, and it gave my troops a better chance of survival.
Still Learning, Still Grinding
I’m definitely not a pro at BH5 attacks yet, but I’m getting there. It’s all about practice, learning from your mistakes, and, let’s be honest, a little bit of luck. I’m still tinkering with different troop combinations and attack strategies, but that’s part of the fun, right? It feels good to finally be making some progress after those initial struggles. I still lost a few matches, but at least I could see my attack getting better.
