Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with “Clash of Clans” again lately, specifically trying to get my Town Hall 12 army game on point for 2024. It’s been a wild ride, let me tell you!
I started by just throwing troops out there, you know, the usual. I’d read somewhere that mass dragon attacks were good at this level, so I tried that first. The idea was to use zap spells to take out air defenses. Then, I create a funnel so that my dragons can rush to the center of the base.
The Mass Dragon Experiment
My initial attempts were… well, not great. I picked a base, zapped what I thought were the key air defenses, and sent in my dragons. They did some damage, but they kind of just wandered around aimlessly. I mean, the dragons got distracted by everything! It was like herding cats. I managed to snag a star or two, but it was messy, and I definitely didn’t feel like a master strategist.
After a few more tries, I started to get the hang of it. I started paying way more attention to base layouts and figuring out which air defenses were actually the biggest threats. I had to get better at aiming my zaps, too. It was a learning curve, for sure. Eventually, I could clear out most of the air defenses and my dragons were finally heading where I wanted them to. But it still felt like a gamble every time.
- Zap Placement: This was a big one. I had to learn to be precise with my zap spells. Hitting two air defenses at once was a game-changer.
- Funnel Creation: I used my heroes to help funnel my dragons. This took some practice. Sometimes they’d go off on their own adventures.
- Dragon Deployment: I realized that spreading the dragons out too thin was a bad idea. Sending them in a tighter group, after creating a clear path, worked much better.
Trying Out Queen Charge LaLo
Then, I heard some clanmates talking about the Queen Charge LaLo. I’d seen it in action at Town Hall 11, but I wasn’t sure how it would work at Town Hall 12. Basically, the idea is to use your Archer Queen, supported by healers, to take out a big chunk of the base. Then, you send in your Lava Hounds and Balloons (that’s the “LaLo” part) to clean up the rest.
The first few times I tried this, it was a disaster. My Queen would get overwhelmed quickly, or the healers would get taken out by air defenses. I realized I needed to be way more strategic about where I started the Queen charge and how I protected her. I also had to get better at timing the deployment of my LaLo troops.
I spent hours practicing, just trying different things. I watched some videos online, but honestly, it was mostly trial and error. Slowly but surely, I started to see some improvement. I learned how to use spells to protect my Queen and how to choose the right path for her to take. I also figured out the best way to deploy the LaLo troops so they could support each other and take out the remaining defenses.
- Queen’s Pathing: Figuring out where to start the Queen charge was crucial. I needed to find a spot where she could take out some key defenses without getting into too much trouble.
- Healer Management: Keeping those healers alive was a full-time job. I had to use spells and other troops to protect them from air defenses.
- LaLo Timing: I messed this up a lot at first. I’d send in the Lava Hounds and Balloons too early or too late, and they’d just get picked off.
Final Thoughts
I’m still no expert, but I’ve definitely made some progress with my Town Hall 12 attacks in “Clash of Clans”. Both the Mass Dragon and Queen Charge LaLo strategies can be super effective, but they require practice and patience. I’m still leaning towards the Queen Charge LaLo because it feels more dynamic, but honestly, it’s all about finding what works best for you and your play style. Keep practicing, don’t be afraid to experiment, and most importantly, have fun! There are also some basic strategy can be used for TH4-8, that is all loons with rage. No Xbows/inferno/eagle, just using rage can destroy most of area. That’s all I want to share today. See you guys next time!
