Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Clancy in The Division 2, trying to figure out the absolute best way to build him. I spent a good chunk of yesterday evening and a bit of this morning just tinkering and testing, and I think I’ve finally cracked it. Here’s the lowdown on how I got there:
The Initial Grind
First, I jumped into some regular missions, just to get a feel for Clancy’s base stats and how he handles. I tried out a few different weapon combinations – assault rifles, SMGs, the whole nine yards. I quickly realized that I needed to boost his survivability, big time. He was getting shredded way too easily.

Experimenting with Gear
So, I started digging through my stash. I had a bunch of gear sets and named items, and it was time to put them to good use. I focused on pieces that gave me extra armor and health. I remember finding a really sweet chest piece that boosted both, plus it had a talent that regenerated armor over time. Score!
- Tried a full-on DPS build first. Didn’t work. Too squishy.
- Switched to a more balanced approach, prioritizing armor and health. Much better.
- Experimented with different skills. The revive hive is a must-have, obviously.
Fine-Tuning the Skills
Next up were the skills. I knew the Revive Hive was a no-brainer for Clancy, so that was locked in. For the second skill, I went back and forth between the Crusader Shield and the Striker Drone. The shield helped with survivability in close quarters, but the drone provided some much-needed extra firepower. Ultimately, I decided the drone was the better choice, especially when playing solo.
Weapon of Choice
Weapon-wise, I ended up settling on an assault rifle with good stability and accuracy. I found that I could consistently land headshots with it, which really helped with taking down enemies quickly. I also slapped on a decent scope for some extra range.
The named assault rifle “Carbine 7” became my new best buddy.
The Final Result
After all that tweaking and testing, I finally had a Clancy build that I was really happy with. He’s tough enough to survive most encounters, and he still packs a decent punch. I can confidently take him into challenging missions and even hold my own in the Dark Zone. It was a bit of a grind to get there, but totally worth it in the end!
Hope this helps any fellow agent that want to create a better build.
